What is your tow rig?

At least Im not the only one without a truck. My 2000 z28, lowered with 382RWHP should do the trick. Had to add a longer rearend vent hose and seal the underside better just in case.

UPGRADES to the Escalade

Not your typical Escalade I guess. I wanted to keep the stock look so everthing is hidden and appears stock inside the cab.

2004 with 40K miles
6.0 Liter Vortec
AWD
4 captain chairs, navigation, sunroof, etc.

FIRST OFF - i have a Viper alarm system that pages me anytime the alarm goes off (so don't even think about it!). :) The remote control can start and stop the engine, roll the windows up and down, vent the windows (on hot days), tell me the cabin temperature, and some other stuff which most people probably don't care about.

Stereo is Alpine 1000/1 mono amp pushing 2 JL Audio 12w3V3 subwoofers. They're downfiring in a custom box that fits snug behind the 3rd row seat. Bass knob is mounted on the knock out pannel next to the traction control and parking sensor buttons. The iSimple cable is hidden in the middle console.

My favorite feature is the 150 decibal train horn that's mounted under the hood. Scares the sh*t out of everyone even if they know it's coming. There's an air compressor that refils automatically anytime you lay on the horn for more than 5 seconds.

I also have 2 P/A speakers mounted behind the front tow hooks and the CB is hidden inside the cab. When not in use the Cobra Mic stows away in the middle console.

Two reverse lights mounted under the rear bumper are extreme white PIAA's that help tremendously when dealing with my trailer at night. They also work pretty good as F-U lights when people piss me off when I'm driving at night.

Other than that I've added the vertical Billet Grill and a couple other minor add-ons here and there. I'll have picture of all of this in a new album in a week or so.

Well, in my glory days, I would use a base model Subaru to tow either my friend's double trailer

or my own single trailer, which was a more common scenario.

This is the towing platform I use these days:

my 99 Eclipse GSX with a Class 1 Drawtite on it. I bought it with it already on there so I want to put it to use. The previous owner put it on there to haul bicycles. I just bought a 6x10 trailer to haul my snowmobile and now I'm looking for some waverunners.

nice Trans-Am!

Eh, yeah thanks. I bought it new in 02 when I was 19. WS6, black leather, Hurst 6-speed... I saved up 30+ grand (yeah, I had 30 grand in the bank and I was a teenager. Every penny earned by working 2 jobs) for a Firehawk but my parents wouldn't co-sign so I had to settle for that. It has a SLP intake and wired with a 150 shot of the happy gas. Nitrous is fun. I had an APS twin turbo kit for it but I have too many projects so a friend is putting it on his car.

you can make those gsx's prety quick awd turbo for the win:cheers:

Yeah, that car has 185K on it and runs great. I bought it with 178K on it. When I bought it, I had to replace the ORIGINAL clutch along with a few other things, timing belt, plugs, wires, wheel bearing... No biggie. It was well taken care of. It's stock and I plan to keep it that way. I love driving it. I have a few Talons too. One is a 97 I am rebuilding with a 2.3 stroker, caged, 500+AWHP and nitrous. I bought it "built" by a company called AMS but the engine wasn't machined properly and the piston skirt was ripped off from the cylinders being "hourglassed". Lame. Waste of 12 G's for that car. Life goes on and continues to kick me in the balls but what can you do? So, I want waverunners now. Maybe they'll treat me better than cars have... I love horsepower so I gotta have toys with engines. I just keep moving to different things with engines. :)

Rockin' a Myers Manx. NICE!!! The 1835cc is a great setup. I'm an aircooled VW enthusiast. First car is a 1970 Beetle. My first name is Gordon. Hence, FLASH1970.

My 2006 Ford F350 SDSC DRW is used for moving just about anything in the Marina as well as my 2005 Sea Doo Sportster 215 4TEC SCIC

I just picked up the boat this month and it went straight to storage so no pics for now, but this is the rig. 2004 F-350 Diesel with a six-speed stick, 4in. lift. Never has a problem pulling anything I hook up.
