Custom Cabon Fiber/Kevlar Seadoo X4 XP 800 This thing is 100lbs lighter than a stock 96 800 xp fresh motor this year. I have been riding this for about three years. Super strong and ready to ride. Does not have the UMI streering on it now. No damage. VERY UNIQUE There are no others like it.

TRADES WELCOME!!!

Yeah its very cool but the guy is completely clueless. The thing was built for someone else but the price went from like 5g to 20g and of course he backed out of the deal. i didnt think it was ever going to be completed. I got to drive it last year and it was a handful to say the least. It needed some serious handling modifications as at high speeds the thing would just dart and with no hydroturf and a slippery stock seat it was not even really fun to drive. He didnt want to stop driving mine....lol

If he even gets 10k hes committing robbery...lol

you stole my thunder.. that's just a shame.

so what is the reason for the instability? because of the lightened hull changing the overall balance of the ski? the two gauge cf hood is neat though.

any details on the original project and who/what it was intended for?

It was designed based off a westcoast race hull with deep strakes. i dont know if it was the way it was setup or if the hull was just too aggressive. it was built originally to be a crazy 970 type motor...i had heard they were going to fab it for a 155pump and a 1050 motor at one point. then...the owner...who molded it jumpped off the deep end when it came to price. last time i asked for on of those hoods he told me 900....lol

Its none the less dead sexy and would look amazing with umi and a jettrim seat...not to mention a full mod engine compartment.

It is amazing and I'm glad it exists. Of coarse I would love to own it but will never give anyway near that price tag.

Not Too Pretty but Just Right

I'm not much into the polishing side but this is my idea of "set up right" for a rec ski. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess. The mods themselves give it a respectful look. I pulled the Ultrac trim tabs and Trackers sponsons from the 717 powered X4 that I had for 10 years. I put a Rossier pipe on it and found a Rossier seat for it to match. All the buttons and gauges work witch doesn't happen accidentally as you fellas know.

Hopefully I get some sun tomorrow but I'm riding either way. I got 7120 before with stock pump and grate and now I have a #6 Jet Dynamics intake grate feeding a big hub RFI pump (still extended).

7430 rpms at 56.7mph! I can't believe it. I stayed out of WOT because those are race gas revs and this is just regular pump gas 93. The RFI pump obviously does not have quite enough pitch for this application (Rossier pipe, Buckshot 46's). It would be a good race setup imo if I would only add race fuel. I say this because the JD grate kept me stuck right to the choppy water (#6 witch Chester taught us is less aggressive than others).

There was absolutely no lag from pulling the trigger to boat moving. I have never reached this level before. Every single little two-strokey half-cough was translated into movement. I'm talkin' "like and electric motor" throttle response. The working trim with legible gauge is totally worth the trouble also. I'm going to gear it taller for the rec rider that it is. I'll have to give up a little of that acceleration to get it over 60.

Its a thing of beauty...when you get the combo just right. I thought mine was pretty good till I rode that race one at the sortie. It was on 110 but holy crap the hit is amazing. Thats why were all junkies right?

BTW I love old original seats like that. I have a sweet old AP designs in about that condition...but its all stitched up on one side. Looks like someone took the time to get the pink off the back of that 95.

Here is an even more original Rossier seat...My OG 97 SPX came from Oshkosh, WI. It actually came from Rossier via the guy who bought it from him. RIP 2006...

Where do you find those hoods at? It would be sick on my 96 SPX

They were the Westcoast ones...I got a new one from the guy that bought out the lot when they quit making them. My brother still has his, I flipped over the bars and just straight killed mine. Fatboy cartwheel is what I call it...super epic fail.

Anyways they are super hard to come by...they had a place for 3 gauges under the brow...it was pretty dope. I havent seen one for sale in a very long time. Theres lots of styles out there, but most do not have a place for gauges.

That whole 97 looks awesome and ready for business. I love those seats also. I have an old AP design one too and I liked the Rossier seat I have shown here becausr it was made by the same company who made the seat on my 97 Neptune SPX.

Black star made those a few years back...you could pick every color of carbon weave they make. Extra sweet b/c they came with the matching brow. I think if you ask nice they still will make one but the website is gone.

i have a good friend x4 addict that just moved to the quad cities,,, u far from there ?
I'm about two hours away, but if he's got some sweet places to ride it might be worth a trip!

50% off matts and seatcovers?!? WHERE?!!

but man that picture makes the gelcoat look waay better than it is, I can still see outlines of the decals

It was early this morning...6-9am est. Long gone! Unfortunately I think its the only time of the year they go that cheap.

BTW if you are looking for a sweet group event we have one in the Dells the weekend after Memorial day, and in Lake City, MN in late august. Both are approching 125 peeps and 75+ skis!

Its all types of riders and all types of machines...but its a great place to ride and meet people from the area.
