I would remove the old cable and go somewhere like batteries plus and they can make you a new one up. I would not buy a used cable because there isn't a real good way to make sure they haven't rotted inside out unless you ohm it with a meter or use a megger on it. A new one shouldn't cost that much. If you pull the carbs it will be cake to reinstall

Good point, ill just do that. Thanks!

Picked up the hood from the paint shop today. Need to finish installing the UMI and Jettrim 2" riser seat cover. Should have two nice looking X4's when done.

i may have asked this here b4, but i don't recall an answer. But has anybody found a simple solution of the custom fuel filler hose needed when putting the 12 gallon tank in the X4 ?
My tank & motor were finally dropped in the hull today, but after 15 minutes of head scratching it looks like i'm going to have a piecemeal of 2" pvc, standard fuel filler hose all cut up with more pvc couplers, about 6-7 pieces. Has anyone figured out a better way ?

some sort of flexible pvc tubing ?

Ive used MLine a few times and I find there product to be better than any of the others Ive tryed. The seating surface is Whisper Black vynil and is extremely soft. Plus theres extra cushioning sewn into that area of the cover. The rest is carbon fiber black and carbon fiber silver. Its hard to tell its a hump seat with the extra padding added to the area in front of the hump. Best part is that cover coast me 120 bucks and I had it within 7 days. Theyre all made to order.

Here's another one.

Make sure, whatever you get, it's very flexible.

Chester

thanks for the links guys, i'll make some calls in the morning just to see how flexible this stuff it :)

I ended up with 3 feet of some real badazz flexhose from a local wholesale auto distributor, it was about 8 inches short of making the complete loop so I had to couple it with a short piece of regular straight fuel filler line cut down. But i can say w/o a doubt, for the fuel filler on the oversized tank, flex pipe is the only logical answer ! And in a pinch, i swear I could use this as a softball bat or defend myself from zombies with a length of this stuff, its some tuff azz chit !

two members that I emailed about their install replied that they just used flexible radiator hose, much cheaper, just as flexible, and has held up well, i might look into that down the line since now i plan to help to upgrade the setup's on my two local guys that have frankenstein setup's right now.

so with that said,, anybody wanna throw in a cautionary note saying that radiator hose is a bad idea ?

personally i thought radiator hose was a terrible idea, i don't think its compatible with gas.

Looks great! How did the install go with the hump seat? Any tips when installing around the hump?

Install is easy. Nothing crazy to do about the hump area. You need a pneumatic stapler, its the only way to do it. I like to line up the front and rear of the cover first. Then put a few staples in the side. Finally work my way around and fill in all the staples going around. Always pulling it tight and flipping the seat over to make sure it stays center

No, I like to leave the factory cover on because its waterproof. An electric stapler would be better than doing it by hand, by hand is impossible. Air is ideally the way to go
