Matt i thought you may like to see this maybe not i dont know just throwing it out there. http://www.ebay.com/itm/SEA-DOO-OLD...ash=item4b067bd0fa:g:xFIAAOSw6n5XtI9O&vxp=mtr

I saw that thank you. I plan to swoop in about a day before the ending with a message. Usually I can get something like that for a reasonable price. Don 't get me wrong it's awesome stuff but and the "cool" factor is through the roof. I'm just way overstocked on them.

I already have that exact Miller motor and I paid like a grand. Over the years I realized that no one wants to run the upright RAVE stuff in the future but me so I've been averaging down my price. I have two of those engines made by Novi and a couple more unidentified. I think I have 6 of those pipes and I only plan to have one of these at a time in my older carbon fiber hull. I think it will be a real fun ski to bring to the group rides to let other Seadoo enthusiasts ride and enjoy.

With all that said It's probably inevitable that I'll throw the guy out a price and we'll eventually agree on something.

That you can, just painting it in the first place is blasphemy. A yellow one anyways.
Idk, i can't picture my spx with a yellow hood. I think it looks better with black, as the hull is white. I would suggest anyone considering painting their plastic to invest in some adhesion promoter, like bulldog. Don't cheap out our it'll crack and flake away

Guess I should clarify a yellow single gauge since they're so rare. I have a yellow mirrored hood just sitting in my office I'm tempted to just throw away cause I'm tired of looking at it. Lol

I'm sitting on a yellow single gauge hood (and the hull that came with it). Having difficulty letting the hull go and have the space for a few more months so its hanging out for now.

Two questions
I read somewhere that goo gone removes black plasti dip? (the hood has been dipped and its brittle and peeling) Is that the best method? Do you soak & wipe or what... or is there another option..

Can someone maybe link to me the instructions, or do a quick write up for using a hoist to pull a 2 stroke, I thought there was a trick using the spark plug holes, i usually just muscle them out but exploring options

You need to weld washers to old spark plug bases, after breaking out the porcelain. I use a winch bolted to the wall and a pulley from a beam to yank mine

The 787 has a loop on the exhaust manifold. For the others I broke the porcelain off a spark plug then welded a loop on the top.

thanks, I knew spark plugs were involved but couldn't find the post/thread, I'll bring some old plugs with me next time I go visit the only guy I know that welds :) 787's aren't that bad, but 951 are a pain, kawi triples are a bear too. Not so bad of they are on a trailer, but when sitting on a stand I don't like climbing up in the footwells.

How much for that single gauge hood

I'm in the process of getting rid of my fuel selector, does anyone no off a blanking plate available to cover the old hole?
Thinking of removing the water separator and installing a inline filter instead, I'm trying to keep my limited setup basic.
any thoughts welcome thanks

Yeah I wasn't to sure about it, just read that some people remove it and put an inline filter in instead, less to go wrong I suppose.

I don't think online filters are worthless. Ever since i installed one, i stopped finding crap in my carb filters

I've been told that steering nozzles with a center divider want to go straight making it hard to turn. Is that true? If so, what nozzle can I swap on to my 97 SPX, that doesn't have the divider?

That is the purpose of the dividers so some one told you wrong. Sponsons will help with turning. The sponson help the hull grab the water instead of sliding.

I run r&d 85 88. But it wont make you turn better

It's not that I'm looking to get better hook up when turning. The pressure from the pump when at speed makes the bars themselves hard to turn.

I would like to experiment with another nozzle. Will one from a 97 GsX fit?

Might want to double check the condition of your steering cable.
All of them will have some resistance when turning on the throttle but it shouldn't actually be hard.

the only nozzles I noticed a difference with were the r&d 85/88

and of course the 95/800's with the pump extension.

with that said, none were harder to turn, it was just harder to hold on when turning !
