popped the decals off of the deflector this morning. The previous owner had it sprayed black with some cheap paint which the adhesive remover softened and smudged. Not sure if I want to have it professionally repainted or wrapped in gloss vinyl. I'm also curious if there's something else you guys would recommend as far as finished it off for rec riding. I added a bilge with a billet on/off handlebar switch and a little LED light in the panel turns on when the pump is running.

Love the colors.

I do see a few things that worry me though....

The alignment looks to be a mile(kilometer) and a half off. This will wear your drive shaft splines out, especially with big power.

I'd use a little larger zip ties as clamps on the fuel hose connections or at least double them up and pull them as tight as possible with pliers before snipping the ends off.

Since your not using your temp sensor you could put a 1/4" fitting there to feed the stinger. Then you could have the fitting on the top of the exhaust manifold feeding the tell tale(pisser) again.

I would run it with the seat off or slid back and put a left hand on that ADA head during some WOT runs. If it's too hot to keep your hand on then you can exchange those brass plugs on top for 3/8" fittings and have them feed bypass fittings. I'm assuming that is water coming out on the top of the head and not going in, right?

Oh and on those Jetinetics RAVE caps the inside is not removed like on the original red caps. This means your adjustment spring is always on the tight side so the raves open later

Thanks Matt i was a a bit nervous on the colour scheme but it turned out good in the end [emoji6]
The engine is lined up correct it's the angle of the picture.
I'll check the the zip are tight tho, I had a company called Jetshed build it they race in the British and European champions and used to race the 96 in the world finals back in the day.
They have run a new pisser on the front bike from the pipe .
They dynoed the bike 127bhp

I hope so cost a fortune [emoji51] [emoji23]
I'm not to sure if there was any porting done.
It's got 44mm novis, r&d manifold, msd enhancer and the Ada head.
It still has the stock prop so I'm going to change that once Ive got some spare money..
I was thinking a Skat swirl 17/23 or 17/24 as I ride surf. What do you think?

16/23 would be the best if you have good fuel to rev. If you run pump gas I'd use the 16/24. If you go 17 then make it a 17/22.

I was told to run it on 97 octane
Do you reckon to go with the swirl?
Have you got any lying around you want to pass on or are you still not shipping to the uk?

No I don't ship out of the country but I do recommend the Skat swirl. Try to find a good used one for about $150 shipped because they are too darn pricy when new.

I would toss those jetinetics adjusters. On a 787 they will actually not allow the valves to open completely at their lowest setting and cost you RPM.

back-to-back on my 97 SPX they cost me 100-150 rpm vs the red caps. Not sure why they didn't bother boring them out as it would take just a few seconds in a lathe.

Not too much then, I'll leave them for the minute. I ride surf so I won't really miss them Rpms to be honest. Thanks tho

Nice clean work there. It's rare for me to see a modded 787 built recently that I don't have any parts or advice in.
