Laughing with you! Bitch work on pump fit. Telling you , run the 95 pump extension. Gives you aluminum to work with for taper mod fit. The set back pump turn those boat so aggressive for handling and its not for a novice. The SBT 95 xpl driveshaft is 20% bigger and holds up. To do over, I would run stock 96 pump. Validate engine alignment critically. Imhop
155 pump installed on 96 xp! Still some tinkering to do.

Impressive. Think im starting to get it. Essentially had to add material to eliminate gap between the wear ring and pump shoe ring. Im finding the same result on my build. (If im following correctly)

You got it bud! Grinding 8mm and gaining 8mm sucked. No you wanna double it? Yikes. Dont forget our 200 hp SS race boats stepped dwn to 148mm pumps for performace. Mibunkering built two of these conversions, he felt 155 made no difference vs stock. 148 skat is improvement.

I understand. I just didn't have a 148 skat laying around and wanted to use what I already had... also not very keen on modifying an expensive skat pump that I would not be able to sell in the future if I decided not to use it as it would only be for this exact application. Thanks for the insight!
