electric VTS really is the way to go. Pricey, but worth it. HX you can't adjust on the fly at all. Still have to hop off the ski and adjust it. I replaced mine with a working one from Tonka's brother. It was expensive, but worth every penny.

I prefer hydraulic trim personally but they are hard to come by

I've found a way to use two cheap relays to replace the VTS brain. You lose the gauge, but you can control it with the buttons still. It's the setup I'm running on my spx.

Anyone use one of those trim fix boxes from http://www.thetrimfix.com/ ? Supposed to mount externally of the factory VTS and restores trim function by replacing the internal control module and also makes the gauge work again too. Thinking about getting them to fix the trim on both my X4s.

Yeah mine worked fine, I wanted to remove all the wiring, clutter, etc. Gauge was already long gone. I dont use it. So dont need it.

just want a manual setup. Also dont have to remove vts unit everytime i want to remove pump for impeller swaps etc. to access bailer hoses for removal.

I messaged a couple guys on there, no response. I'll keep searching. May buy new

I do have the one off my HX, not sure I want to let it go yet.

Au Contraire Suke, I can fully adjust the trim on my HX while moving. See below images

Gotta call laziness on this, it's pretty easy to just pop the hoses off after you cut the cable ties. I just can fathom pulling the VTS every time you drop a pump, that ludicrous.

It's not laziness, it's the way I do my pumps and the way I like to resecure the bailer lines. I don't take short cuts. I don't want electric VTS. It's a very poor design and takes up a lot of space. Should have been similar to rxx from the factory. No electrics involved.

To each his own. Just crazy in my mind.

How do you secure your bailer lines if you don't use cable ties like the factory did? Just curious, that's all.

Welllllll that's not factory though. :)

Tired of cutting and snipping cable ties. I use a stainless version of this.

I dont remember which thread I read about these things for removing the stubborn JIS screws from the carbs. I really dont think I could have got them out without it they were in there so hard. It also extracted a partially stripped screw that someone had already attempted to remove at some point and gave up on, thankfully before destroying the screw completely. Highly recommended tool the Vessel Impacta 980 (P2x100 #2), a nice addition to the tool box. Gave them some nice wacks with a 3lb sledge and it broke them loose.

That's a cool product. Usually have good luck with a blowtorch but I'd be willing to try this.

What is this hose for? It vents on the starboard side and the hose ran to the back on that side to just behind the battery tray and was hooked up to nothing. Also had a big hole warn or burnt in the hose halfway through its length.

Vents here

Installed a working used beeper from Minnetonka (thanks man fast shipping on the parts too) and while it was off I hit it with some SuperClean and now its super clean. Didnt look all that dirty before but it was; I could tell right away when the SuperClean went to work what it should really look like.
