We're bumping $3.80

Cost me 70 bucks to fill up the Jeep yesterday.

In other news summer is on it's way into the desert. April 26th and we'll hit 102 easily today. :ack:

Today gas in sunny Florida...$3.65 cost me about $140.00 to fill my jet boat...marina getting $4.25..I use gas cans to fill mine. I only put $25.00 in my Pick Up truck...you have to have priorities!

I was was watching the mob congressional subcommittee hearings. The oil guy was saying 30% of the cost is in a hedge fund. I am not a financial guy, but what is that? I know the price is set as futures, but how does that fit in?:(

uh...I think he is installing High Hedges ( landscaping) around his house so he can't see the poor people scratching to buy gas..

It may be cheaper to go up into the hills of North Georgia and buy moonshine to put in!!

yeah!

um, wait - will that affect "straight-line" performance? *hic*

Hey Karl - do I need to rejet to run moonshine?

Was working here in the office just now and my monitors were shaking a bit, so I looked it up on USGS.

We had an earthquake not too far from here about 5 years ago. They said it was a 4 or so. I thought it was a helicopter going overhead. My wife an I heard this "wah, wah, wah" sound. All of the birds, etc were absolutely quiet!! We woke up out of a dead sleep. I couldn't imagine living through it on a regular basis. :ack:

Hey SANDSHARK!!!

I just saw where you live under your avatar...My brother lives in La Quinta, and I was just there a couple weeks ago! Beautiful town, I would move there in a second.

My brother works for the police department, IT guy with police benefits!

Oh, and gas dropped here. down to 3.46...Don't mean to rub it in. But we process it all here, then pump it out to you guys.

Yeah I love it here in LQ.

Although in August when it's 125* I need occasional reminding...:ack:

...Considering it's the "World Wide Web", the internet is indeed a small place.

Sandshark

I go out to california about 3-4 times a year. I visit my brother about half those times. Most of the time I am in Seal Beach area, where I stay with my grandmother. I bring kids home from my residential treatment facility in Houston for spring break, thanksgiving, christmas, and spring break, and get a free ticket to stay out there for a few days to a week and just hang out until it is time to bring the kids back to Houston.

To clarify, I am program director for a facility that houses emotionally disturbed children and adolescents, mostly with severe cases of bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. They come to our school in Houston and live here year round until they get their behaviors and illnesses under control. I get the opportunity to escort them home by plane during holidays so they can visit with family or interview at local facilities as they transition back home.

Next time I am out there, I may give you a holler:cheers:

Come on everybody, we finally got the admins to give us a personal picture gallery and only 4 members are using it ! I know that we must have more members that want to show off their Sea Doos! The next time we ask for something me might not get it. I don't want to hear, "I didn't ask for a picture gallery"! COME ON, POST SOME PICTURES!
