Ya no kidding!!! i cant believe how fast gas prices can jump!!! 1 day its 1 price and the next day its a completely different price!!!!

Boycott Gas!

I heard that here in Florida gas will be up $.05 more by the weekend! I think I'll buy a lot of gas ...than boycott!! I still want to run my Jet Boat...

Hey Dave, are you sure that was the last post?

You're right Karl. I don't think that was the last post either.

In other news, Gas prices and my Blood Pressure seem interconnected...

and has anyone seen a Sumo Tube?
I just got the new Overton's catalog... This thing seems pretty extreme. "Here, dude... Put this on...":reddevil:

WOW...that sounds like tube burn for sure, under the arms. I wonder how many times I can get my wife to barrel roll...hmmmm that might keep her quiet.

Yeah! "Behave, or I'll give you a ride in the Sumo"...

The pic in the Overton's print catalog has a different guy in the contraption, and his facial expression is WAY different than mister happy there in that link I posted. More of an alarmed "AAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" I think that might be the more typical response... muahahahaha :reddevil::reddevil::reddevil:

Unfortunately the Overton's online catalog just has the pic of the tube by itself.

:agree:
Their catalog prices seen high on some things.
In those cases I just find the item I want in there and then source it somewhere else.

It does kinda remind me of the Sears Christmas Wishbook from back when I was a kid though...:drool5:

Boy that's the truth...as kid heck, I have 2 copiies always laying around...My wife tells me to quite it as if I'm bad I'll get nothing...:ack:

A bye

My wife is getting some plastic surgery in two weeks, so I can get anything I want!!! (I just can't afford it now) :(

I hope everything works out ok...is the surgery implants??? Now that would be a fun thing to have...I think... I know my wife wouldn't hear of that.:ack:

Truly a gift for the both of you...

On an unrelated topic, I scored on ebay last night.

Another missing piece of the Speedster was the cooler/bin under the port windscreen. I had figured that was a "no way I'll find this" piece, and it was not even on my radar.

Unbelievably:
Some lady in Michigan had "found this cooler from our former 98 Speedster in the garage, it was somehow missed when we sold our boat years ago" and had the part up for auction.

I won it for $9.99 :hurray:

No implants

Taking stuff out (lipo) instead of putting stuff in. She is thinking of a lift in the future!:)

What's chances of that?

Let me get this stright... you bought the cooler from the old owner of your speedster that you bought it from...no way!! That's incredible!

No... I just realized it could look that way...

I gotta phrase things differently. My Bad. That would have indeed been strange.

The lady from Michigan said in her auction " This cooler was left over from our former Speedster we sold years ago" more or less. Not MY Speedster...

Just a coincidence that my cooler/bin was missing. I bought my boat here in socal from its original owner, a friend of mine who has moved on to (much, much) larger offshore boats.

Anyway, I found the part numbers in my shop manual, looks like it would have been right around $100 bucks list, IF I could have found one. $9.99 is a lot better.

In other news, the Speedster is running like a champ, (finished the carbs today):hurray:, and I gotta give props here: Spray Nine has GOT to be the best cleaner I have ever used. The Speedster just keeps looking better and better!

That stuff got spots off my hull that I thought had become one with the boat.

I'll be taking it to a local private Wakeboard/Ski lake I have access to later this week for some test runs.

Marc

Geeze Marc, are you just trying to keep me on my toes? Spray nine is incredible stuff. I haven't seen that here in Florida, but I used it back in N.Y., like 14 years ago. I'm glad your speedster is running like a champ. Get us some pictures for the gallery so we can get a better look at your ride. uh...you do know there is a "users gallery" to post pictures here now. The link is under manuals at the top of the page.

Karl

O.K., I'll get some shots this weekend!

I had seen an ad for Spray Nine in boating magazine, it looked pretty good. I was really suprised when I found it it the (admittedly very small) boating section at Wal Mart, of all places.

Walmarts will surprise you sometimes.

ScubaDoo

Actually they have a nice 12# danforth/fluke style anchor there I am looking at for (of course) cheap.

I assume that is enough for a 16' Speedster?

In other news I'm changing my pump oil tomorrow night.
Karl says he LOVES the smell of old pump oil.:ack:

What happened to all the pictures we were supposed to post here?

Here are a couple from our last ski/camp trip. Spring Break, Lake Somerville, TX. Perfectly smooth day, and not a person on the water with me...

(I try not to get involved in the political threads...)
