Averaging 2.85 a gallon...too bad the engine isn't back in the boat yet so I can buy some and fill er up.

Still waiting for a couple of parts. And debating a swirl impeller...

Gas just dropped to $2.82 here in S.W. florida...Tough choice...feed the family this week, or go out in the water on my speedster?

Karl

Don't mean to brag, but low 80s here, and gas down to 2.35. I am amped to try out a full tank of that cheap gas in my new motor this weekend :hurray::hurray::hurray:

Wow!.........

Wow, it's been a while since I've been in this thread, that Karl started about a year ago. It's got 15 pages and almost 5000 views and 359 posts. Goes to show you, there is never going to be a "last post" winner!.....

I think he posted it for bragging rights!.........

And Chris, Brandenton isn't to far away from Engleburt Humperdink, so I'm sure you'll catch up on gas prices with that tiny little town soon!......:cheers::rofl:

Gas hit a all time low today...$2.39......Premium was buy one get one free...

Did I win???

Winner!.........

Did you win?.............well, no. I think we all know who won!.......

Still very surprised how well this thread you dreamed up has done. I can't beleve it has more views than the thread on the 787!..........:cheers:

It's all about the importance of a subject...Uh what is this thread about anyway??? Kinda like the Seinfield sitcom....it's about nothing...just human interest.

oh yea, gas is now$ 2.39!!!! I got to steal me some extra gas cans.

I had a great day today. It is the first time I was on the water since Hurricane Fay passed by. I had 10 gallons of fuel just itching to be burnt so out for a couple hours of jumping waves for me. I think the smile will be on my face all week. If business keeps picking up, I might be able to fill the tank finally.

Karl

$2.59 and my ski will be water ready again wednesday, and im getting a rash guard, ill be set to ride :hurray:

still looking for a spring suit though

Gas down to 2.15 a gallon here. But if you add in the half a gallon of $50/gallon premix on my first break-in tank...never mind. too much math this late in the day.

The boat ran great all weekend on the New-In-Box motor and new SkatTrak Swirl 16/24 impeller. And still only burned about half a tank over 2 days of messing around. Most likely due to not being able to open it up full throttle during break-in.

This thing planes in a couple seconds and the handling is starting to remind me of how my 787 XP runs and performs :reddevil:

Only problem THIS week is my dad went to storage to get the XP out to ride along with us with the boat, and I had opened the seat to put a battery charger on it back on Wednesday(hadn't been ridden since 2 weeks before Hurricane Ike)...well between then and Sunday, a rat/mouse or something had chewed a hole in one of the big oil lines so most of the oil is in the hull...:(

So now that my boat is out of the driveway, the damned XP is now there dripping oil all over...

Oh, and also this...Some fun stuff coming up soon...

Before.......and AFTER....

Converted my old surfboard to a wake board. Got a newer surfboard for the waves.

:reddevil:

Will also use this with dad towing me into the big hurricane surf behind the XP in the future.

I just paid $1.79:hurray: Filled up the truck and boat, heading to camp on Lake Somerville this weekend. And going to try out that surfboard. Also bought a fishing license to try to catch some stripers near the dam.

I am pretty sure I am done burning my break-in hours, so time to open this baby up and have some fun before the water gets cold.

Gas?..

We are at $2.15 here in the south of Alabama. The only problem is now that gas is falling, our lovely State politicians (Republican State) are trying to get a new gas tax passed. And like the way they voted themselves a pay raise, without the voters having a say in it (at a time schools were going broke), we regular joe's will probably not see this come up for a vote. They'll sneak it in a piece of legislation............jerks.:ack:
