Hard Jet Watebox Diagram Question

This diagram came with my garage queen 95 800 so I am assuming this is how that ski has the water box hard jetted. I want to do the same to my resto ski.

How exactly do you secure the jets in the hose (#3 and #4)?

You tap the brass tee and 90 degree fittings and screw in jets..on the straights you use brass unions and tap one side and screw in jet. Matt Braley probably knows the tap size you need for jets.

Just a heads up and some food for thought. I used a straight fitting at the pipe instead of 90 because to take the 90 off you need to remove the pipe support to get it off and that makes it a pain for fine tuning. A straight fitting you can take off without removing the support.

All of my skis with Rossier pipes have the watebox regulator removed and plugged. Two of the skis were done by Rossier in 2002 so I left them that way

The ski that my diagram came with has the stock pipe, so my assumption is the directions are for hard jetting the waterbox with the stock pipe and not the RE pipe. Matt or Dan, either of you have any idea?

Following as I'd like to do the same with my stock setup and ditch the waterbox rave as well.

Yes that's where I got it. I've been fine screwing the jets into the plastic fittings.

What are your thoughts on the specs Rossier suggest vs the specs in the racing manual? Let's assume stock motor except milled stock head and F/A.

The first diagram is Rossier's kit for hard jetting a stock pipe. You can see there is no stinger fitting there like the Rossier pipe has.

I don't remember the sizes the racing manual suggests and I could not read the pics. I would buy all the jets in both ranges (Niche Cycle on ebay) and do some tests after break in. All you will need is a tach.

A Rossier pipe is a nice improvement in performance without being much of an engine risk. I'll send you a clean one for 325 shipped, just sayin'.

Just to keep a single place for all of this. Guess we'll see how it works.

So both of us are largely stock, and by largely stock I mean stock pipe. What we've both struggled with is finding any solid information on the net. I scrounged for hours trying to find any good information for hard jetting a stock ski. I blew up mpower's waterbox rave he had as well. So it seems buying a used 20 yr old part just is out of the question.

Looks like you have everything besides new hose(if you want it) and clamps. As long as the fittings are the right size to be tapped 5mm for the jets it should be smooth sailing. Hopefully you run an inline filter between these and the pump so debris does not clog them and overheat the exhaust.

I've read conflicting opinions of the filter/separator. Some folks say they can't handle the flow of the water and will not move enough through. You have one you recommend or seen to work well? Looking at the other ski we modeled this after I think we won't need any additional hose. Hoping the fittings will be the proper size to tap for the jets.
