xxxxxxxx If I could take I would seeing SBD got one cheap.

UHHH??? If you could take what?.....

Yes, I got mine for $900 + another $5-600 in general maintenance items. Labor, gas mileage, pump oil, oil/gas, new lanyard, trailer tires, trailer wheel jack, trailer LED lights, new fuel lines, hood deflector, throttle cable.....coming soon on black Friday.....The standard Red/gray Black fin Seat skin, new BF turf in Gray Diamond?????

What do you think about that color combo??????????????

IDK SBD. I think that's when they got it right stock. I love the look of the factory red seat in your avatar. The black mats look better than I picture grey looking also. Of coarse it's those things that make the look signature to you also. I love to get good deals and bolt stuff on also so when I get mine someday I'm sure I will be shaping up a plan as well.

IDK if you can see it in the pics but the seat has a BIG rip at the back +2 smaller ones next to it. It's now taped up in Red duct tape.
The turf is bubbling up in several spots.
The new seat cover is the standard one in red with the BF logo in the smaller gray area

Let you now tomorrow

Figured if I score, xp will go up FS and keep the two GTI.

i'd do it, you'd appreciate the 951 on the ocean, and the added stability of the GSX hull vs XP (not a huge difference but definitely a difference) but if you weren't going there for yourself, I would :) but remember, look it over carefully, i'd be suspicious...
check for steering cable issues (expensive tps version) compression, listen to it carefully, try and inspect the pump, there has to be something wrong with it if he's asking less than a grand, otherwise it would sell in 24 hours. just remember even tho SDB got a great deal at $900, it cost him $600 in misc afterwards, so nothing is as cheap as it seems.

Didnt get if first owner but was used on private lake by family.
He couldn't tell me compression or if had grey fuels lines.
Stated it for someone over the phone. Haha

He was all 951 and reeds vs raves? And how good the 951 was.

He was pretty firm no, need to sell it but moving to NC.

hahha thats funny..

but in all seriousness, this IS the time of year to start picking up cheap ski's, especially the 4 weeks between thanksgiving and xmas, people need cash and the eyesore in the back yard is a good source.... I picked up some really really nice deals last year around early/mid december.

i better keep a BIGGER eye out, i promised the fiance, that no more skiis, plus i dont have the expertise to buy, fix, and resell, but if i had waited, i prob woulda gotten a better deal than my 96 gsx.

tps nothing special just more pricey since its not a basic cable, the extra "doo-hickey" is like $40 more :(

its still worth looking at, remember cash talks a lot more effectively in person than it does over the phone. but even at his asking price its a fair deal assuming it doesn't turn into a nightmare project..

even in the best of circumstances its within reason to budget an extra $500 into any used ski purchase, if the updates are less than that , consider yourself one of the few.

Lol- don't I know that one! I have nearly 1 1/2X what I paid for my pair of skis into maintenance and other repairs- and I can count on one hand how many times they've each been used since getting them :(. As you said in your other post though, even in a best case scenario, you should budget at least $500 for miscellaneous "issues". People always say that boat= Break Out Another Thousand, and older used skis don't seem to be much better lol.

OK SBD I see what you mean. Looks like a legitimate need for those parts. I got to go to the WCSS site and start picking out what I want to score on black FRI. Us members are gonna hit em hard.

I never got to see the Tampa one you guys got excited about. It was flagged for removal before I clicked on it.

here's what it read

Getting rid of my Grandfather's 2011 Hatteras 64- I am really not much of a seaman, so of course this damn thing is too big for me to even consider taking out to sea (or do anything with for that matter). It makes sense to me that I should let someone else benefit from it (my grandfather would have wanted it that way).

In essence, money is no big deal for me-- my family and I were already very, very, well off even before inheriting this vessel with the rest of my grandfather's estate. Furthermore, I do not have the time, inclination, or care enough to go through the hassle of selling it.

At the same time, I could use some amusement.... I need a distraction from my Family's recent loss- so...

The first person to call (at: 941-465-5985) and fluently recite the entire poem, "A Dream Within A Dream" by E. A. Poe with expressive energy, enthusiasm (and an equally accompanying loud volume***SHOW ME that you REALLY want this Yacht),....will have the honor of taking this off of my hands. If I determine that you have done a satisfactory job at meeting the criteria that I have specified, you will have 72 hours to remove the vehicle from my private dock (located at my Bellair Estate) at an agreed time -- I will provide you with the title during the rendezvous - BE SURE to have the level of experience/competency required to captain this vessel. Otherwise, arrange to bring someone with you that is experienced enough and legally permitted to operate a vessel of this caliber.

So I passed on the 951.

Couple things.

Cash price was going to be 850 from my BO 800. He wanted 950.
I ask if he wants to swap titles for my running 2000 yamaha warrior est $~900-1000.

Figured trade for trade biased on what he already told me sight unseen it was running and been serviced

I start or outside.
1. Obvious oxidized hull with dull faded hood.
2. Its missing the fuel selector. $30
3. small steering chin pad has be eaten. Needs to recovered or new piece for unknown $$
4. pump had cob webs inside and had small missing chunk or WR for thats 50 bucks
5. Seat cover ~$100
6. Info gauge not working. $$?

Inside was nasty dirty.
1. missing cover for rear E box. $10-15 bucks
2. had longer bolt in starboard engine mount so it would rock.
3. Carbs paint flaking and has grey fuel lines. $100 for kits $30 for fuel lines.
Plus labor(2-3 hrs ~200 bucks) if I don't take them off since special small angled wrenches are needed.
or make mine own.
4. No battery. $100 bucks.
5. compression was mag 125 pto ~130

So, $800 more minimum and a lot of grief it would be ready for the water hoping engine doesn't go boom.

And be ~2000k for it.

I passed............

:ack:

I'm sure there is something we can do to expand search and keep it by pm as to not clutter OP thread.
We cover all of Florida. You should put the word out in the Alabama thread.

Whats your price point? Anything that heavy is going to add ~$100-~$150 in shipping w/materials to do it right?

depending on how much the sea freight to me cost will depend on the amount i have to spend i want to limit the whole thing shipped to me no more than $600-$1000

i know these are not 900's but I asked him if he has any, he has a whole yard of skiis

http://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/boa/3374971859.html

I know him personally, real nice guy
thanks nammer

looks like the shipping is going to cost $450-$500 from the quotes im getting so not sure if i would be able to buy a whole working ski with my budget and craigs list is a pain in the butt to search they should have all states linked and be user friendly lol
