thanks nammer

looks like the shipping is going to cost $450-$500 from the quotes im getting so not sure if i would be able to buy a whole working ski with my budget and craigs list is a pain in the butt to search they should have all states linked and be user friendly lol

we don't run across that many tigersharks... i wish you wanted a polaris 900.. i have a really really nice one sitting on the shelf, i've literally been too lazy to take a pic of it and sell the dam thing.

nam, hopefully i'll be driving tonight or tuesday on that GSX, waiting to hear back from him.

No Nam that's a over-priced, out of season, Florida sun faded pair of crap turds. They don't run, I bet they have grey fuel lines, clogged carbs, rotten wear rings, burned up black stinky pump oil, etc. They need a guy like me to give them the love they've never seen and then pass them along for the $800 a piece they could potentially be worth.

He has probably listed them before. That is why he knows that people will try to pluck his double trailer out of the deal for $500-$600 bucks because that is the only thing there of value to most people.

yea i know you're right bout them not running, but IF they were, like he said, I would love to pay 1500 for two running skiis and a double trailer, I know the mid 90's skiis aren't worth very much anymore, in fact they're prob worth more in parts than as a whole running ski, but for me, I would love to just get a water ready ski, I suffer too many complications from minor problems, I still haven't gotten my pump off my spi :(, mainly cause i'm in gville, but had to go to the hardware store to get bolts, btw, def looking forward to details about the central florida get together

Maybe we can work something out Nam. If we really get a ride together than we can do some repairs on your skis during the idle time. Or I can bring you a "no-issues ski" and take one or two of your skis on trade depending on what ski you were after.

The best solution that I see is to keep saving Seadoos. What I mean by this is that you would sell your skis in the open market without being dishonest for a slight profit and use your ability to shop daily to replace them with fine examples that have been recently serviced by someone who knows.

cough cough.
That sounds like a deal in the making.

matt, I would love for someone to look at my 96 gsx, I honestly haven't really touched it more than 2 days since i got it, I think i mighta taken care of the voltage regulator problem.... but after i rode it around in the water (wouldn't go over 4000rpm and maybe 15 mph), it seemed like the battery was dead :( (so maybe i didn't fix the voltage regulator problem)

I would be open to a trade, but it would need to be a bigger body i.e. gsx or gtx, cause my spi seems like it's gonna sink with 2 guys on it :), good thing about it is it seems to only have 37ish hours on it, and has a title

as far as my 97 gsx it looks like it's up and running GREAT!, and I think i know what I need to do to fix my spi, but was having problems with that silicone on the pump

u could always connect for jetski trailer to the car reverse your jetski up to a big tree put the park brake on using your ratchet tie down wrap it around the tree and connect it to your pump and winch the pump off as i mentioned its only silicone holding yours on so it should come off easy peezy

that's another genius soln, I actually got the bolts and I have wood, I'm gonna try that threading technique, but damn, urs is a good idea too, good thing i'm not an engineer, cause I can't think of anything genius

lol my first jetski was a 96 SPX i remember i had a hard time removing the pump the first time i only used a little silicone on reassemble so each time i removed it after that it was easy

Remember this deal? http://gainesville.craigslist.org/boa/3393687875.html

My dad just scooped it up for $350!! He is bringing it over Thanks Giving weekend and I'm going to fix and service it and send it right back with him. The trailer is nice to with the big PVC poles for launching in current.

haha, I am in Gville, and emailed the guy this morning, he said it was still available, I wanted to go see it tomorrow, and was thinking about offering $450 (was still heavily thinking, cause my fiance would prob beat the $hit out of me) and then he didn't respond for a while and got back to me a like 2 hrs ago saying he just sold it. haha, good buy!! hopefully it's as good as he says it is

I am texting back and forth with him now. It's on your way to where? See this is the kinda deal I was waiting on. I surprised the heck out of him by calling out that "Ape" brand pipe. He has not responded since I hit him for his "rock bottom" offer. OOPS?
