The 96XP reads 26 hrs. I don't know it's entire 20 year history of it. Looks like a 97 engine to me but there are no scratches on the bottom or anything. The guy coming tomorrow to get it bought the 96SP I just finished and a double trailer before I could even get the stuff listed.
If your trailer has a vin that is on a sticker and that sticker is gone, who knows what that trailer is, you're working off a sticker. My point being is, I got a wrecked landscape trailer for free. I measured it, cut all new steel, welded it together, painted it, titled it with the original title. The wrecked trailer had a vin plate sticker that was half there, the half without the number on it. The only thing original to the trailer are the two rear gates and the paper title. Just register it homemade.But EVERY Triton trailer ever made has/Had a VIN. If the trailer is VIN'd, it can not legally be registered as Homemade. If we were talking about a garden trailer, I would not care. And in texting with him, though he was very polite, it was pretty clear that something wasn't right...
