These things are designed to deal with some water. Not that i would recommend flooding the thing but spraying with the items noted and washing out will not do harm as long as you stay away from the carb. In the event that you do degrease the carb recoat the moving parts with white lith. grease.

This is why i always use two buckets of fresh steam for degreasing.

correct,,, water is not a problem, but don't be blasting away on everything, but overspray is no big deal at all, i've cleaned out a ton of hulls and most had complete electronics and half had complete engines,so far so good i've never done any damage. and yes, please stay away from the carb/air intake, no reason to be blasting there anyway. if the airbox if filthy, just take the cover off, wash it, and put it back on, but note:if you put it in the dishwasher, don't do it when the wife is around :) she'll get really really mad ! (ask me how I know this :) )

lastly, i haven't done this but a coupe of buddies do... they put some detergent or bilge cleaner in the bottom of the hull after cleaning, and then when water gets in when riding, it will mix with the cleanser, slosh around and get sucked out the bailers or bilge, and keep it clean and smelling nice and fresh...

How do you get buckets of steam? it's like fog, so how do you "catch" it????
