correct,,, water is not a problem, but don't be blasting away on everything, but overspray is no big deal at all, i've cleaned out a ton of hulls and most had complete electronics and half had complete engines,so far so good i've never done any damage. and yes, please stay away from the carb/air intake, no reason to be blasting there anyway. if the airbox if filthy, just take the cover off, wash it, and put it back on, but note:if you put it in the dishwasher, don't do it when the wife is around

lastly, i haven't done this but a coupe of buddies do... they put some detergent or bilge cleaner in the bottom of the hull after cleaning, and then when water gets in when riding, it will mix with the cleanser,slosh around and get sucked out the bailers or bilge, and keep it clean and smelling nice and fresh...
