Carbs out and cleaned but bolt stripped on one

I got my carbs off and gave them a good cleaning. No goo in sit. Filters are little dirty but now clean.

The one hurdle I still have is getting these bolts off. The other side pushes right out but these won't budge. I've sprayed pb blaster, wd40 but no luck. The good bolt spins somewhat freely with a ratchet. Any suggestions to get these off

Those things were a beeeeaaaatch to get off mine last year too. I ended up doing what you've done with the PB Blaster, and then I was able to get the other bolts out. The one reamaning bolt got to a point where it would budge a bit, by spinning the carb, which in turn spun the bolt out of the hole(It was stuck to the carb base). I was also going to try smacking a larger hex into the hole that had been rounded out to see if that would work.

The bolts get this crusty white corrosion where they meet the aluminum, and I don't think that PB Blaster had any affect on it whatsoever. If I wouldn't have been able to get the bolt out, a friend of mine was going to cut the head off the bolt with a small cutoff wheel so that we could pull the carb straight up and off, and then use a stud puller to try to wrestle that bolt out. I replaced all of the bolts and cleaned all of the holes, when I put it back together, and I think i used anti-seize at the bottom of the holes. Good luck!!

oh that sucks. Try some aero-kroil. imho, it's way better that pb blaster. Maybe you could try an ez out screw extractor? Something like this - http://www.autobodytoolmart.com/lisle-stripped-screw-extractor-62110-p-22942.aspx?gclid=CJb1o8SZjMACFSdk7AodyVQA8w

never seize isn't always the best option for jet skis. You should consult the shop manual and use what they call for, either loctite or synthetic grease.

Are they off the manifold? If so put them on a rock solid piece of metal and use a drift punch to drive them out. I'm telling you I soaked a pair repetitively for a week to work thru the white powder. The drove them out. I'll post a pic in a minute. Put a nut on the threaded end and drive that down until it touches then remove and finish driving. You don't want to mushroom the screw. You have to keep spraying. It's not easy.

I picked this up recently and been doing some work on it. Removed the carbs to clean them and this happened. Hopefully my last setback!

Clean those bolt holes really good, then lather the shafts with grease or something so it slows down the process. Hopefully.
