Carbs were rebuilt by the guy I purchased this from. Really straight forward guy.
HE SAYS he put the idle screws and all the adjustments back to the SAME position they were in after the rebuild. He said he counted the turns and returned them to that position....

I put in new fuel lines and spark plugs and she runs GREAT !!
BUT the ilde out of the water with the hose on is 1500rpm.

Compression is 130 in each cylinder.

Anyone got thoughts? Should I just adjust the idle screws or leave it as is???

I would think it should idle in the water at 1500 and out at 3000. you may need to adjust idle screw as it may stall at idle in the water.

It should idle at 3000 RPM's out of the water and 1500 in the water( under load). Adjust the idle screw up.( clockwise) till it is at about 3000 rpm's Don't use the low speed screws to adjust use the single screw that is the idle screw. It is near the cable attachment on the carburetors.

OK

OK. I'll adjust that once the temperature here in Chandler Arizona drops back below 95 degrees. It's like 115 right now!

Does anyone think I should readjust the low speed, high speed and syncronizing bolt just to be sure?
OR
Leave them since it runs and just raise the idle?

Assuming you have a stock configuration.....I'd go ahead and adjust both the high and low adjusters to the factory spec. Close them all the way. For the lows, set to the proper turns (is it 1 or 1.25 turns?).

Then set your idle at the throttle lever crank.

The correct adjustment to start with, if you want to re adjust them is, 1 1/2 on the low speed screw( the screw with the pin through it), and the high speed is set to "0". The plastic cap keeps it from being turned 1/4 turn in either direction.
