i got it Jake! went, by your advice, to #1... okey dokey!! i surely love your southern hospitality (cookin too)! just cant eat all the bbq y'all do down here due to blood / cholesterol problems.... wish i could, i sure miss some great bbq chick and ribs... and i know its real good down here. i aint no sity slikker...lol thats just where we be from.. actually, long island.... been down here since 09. wifes parents live up in lecanto. being closer to her family was in part the main reason for us moving here.. besides, where we lived sucked and we couldnt make it anymore no matter how much we made... so here we came, humble and all, to this beautiful state that we just love... we dont miss a darn thing about back up north.. all except snow on christmas eve and christmas day.. but that didnt happen often. we made great friends here, something we were never able to do back up north for one reason or another. wife is an RN and me, computer & network / audio visual tech, musician and some more stuff. just a bit of who we are for y'all to get to know us. thanks for the hospitality and for welcoming us... being down here for under 3yrs, we are still learning everyday and love it. our home is in back of conservation land that has cows and horses on that we love to see every day..... its just beautiful here and as we have come to learn, so are the people. look forward to meeting and making friends with all we can and with our new found 'activity', i think we will surely make some more friends~

This thread is meant for regulars to post shit about anything as to not clog/open new thread on BS.
Everyone is invited to participate.
ask SBD how his first few weeks started :p

Mine in the 18' 7 passenger boat. Nothing but the HT.

And one more thing if you could please use spacing/paragraphs in you threads.
It makes reading easier especially if there is more than one problem :)

oops... lol.. didnt read that in time! thanks for advice will surely do! hey, who is SBD?? do you mean SDB as in seadoobuddy?

wow.. gorgeous boat! nice layout. wouldnt even think of towing this baby with anything less than a nice 4x4... thanks for pic

dont know if this qustion belongs here. i havent seen a thread about it, maybe because its worded differently.

(note: SPACING as advised ;P )

with my boat, full tank of gas, is there or are there, anyways to judge or gauge how far one can go.... or maybe better, how long can you

go before you will to gas up? is there like an average time/distance to keep in mind or is it just all over the due to too many variables?

just thought i would ask. already have spare gas/oil cans just in case. is it 'safe' to carry say a 5gal gas container and stow it in engine bay? oil too?

see... spacing...lol... i do learn :)

the other 'reason' we were fixing ours to the max, was that if/when we decide to 'upgrade' to a bigger/newer jet boat, we

will be able to more than easily double or near triple our price from what we paid for it. add to that, a 4x4 with trade on our civic.

sure nice to have a goal

looking good but keep it in your thread as this one is to talk basura(trash)

keep sentences together. :)

I'll answer it though.
Two strokes are not gas savers. They will go through tank of gas in a day if you run it at wot(wide open throttle)
Best thing fill it up start a timer and go have fun.
2-3 hours later open hatch and look at how much was consumed.

what do you mean by "Ask SDB how my first 2 weeks went?"

So what if I had a "couple power problems", had tears coming down in buckets from yous guys giving me 50 things to check and then tried shooting my 787 and missed but it went thru the hull and ricocheted off the garage floor and hit my boat then into the gas tank and exploded and caught my neighbors house on fire!....just more things to fix and buy new tools.

thats some funny shit... i am inclined to believe most of it but the bullet part.... as for my first 2 weeks (funny though, your 'experience' here seems to have stuck in some minds...)

i've been a bit luckier, i think, all the answers to my newb q's have been greatly appreciated and not one of them were off or wrong. well.. i

will find out fo sure when i make a go of changing my float that just came... (besides, it came with instructions-same as what the guys here told me how to do it).

but while we're at it... exactly HOW DID your first 2 weeks here go? were you asking as many questions as i was? all over the place?

starting thread after thread after thread?? lol
