I am stumped on this one any help would be great! Everything was perfect on the lake until over the course of about a minute the power just kept going down and down until it died at medium throttle. I have put in new sparkplugs and rebuilt the carb twice now, compression and pop off is good, I have ran on res and on and gas comes out of the lines. It will fire up perfectly but as soon as you get past half roughly it just dies and backfires. If the choke is half pulled it will run a little better. This carb is the California special with the tamper proof caps. To fully clean it would I need to remove the high and low speed screw just incase something is in there (the carbs were very clean when first opened.) Is there anything else that I should check or do I need to remove the caps somehow in order to dully clean it? The last thing I want to do is take out the gas tank because everything has to come out, but I'll obviously do it I'd that's the issue. I've read it could maybe be the rectifier? I'm assuming it's fuel related with the choke test.. Is there a good way to test the rectifier?
I know that this is a seadoo forum but I also have a kawasaki question if anyone knows. I'm blocking the oil pump because the oil tank is leaking bad and I just want the insurance. It is a 95 750 zxi. On seadoos you have to leave the crank case oil line on there. Do kawasaki's have the same thing because I couldn't find it?
