I've searched and read there is a line to pinch off when getting towed. Which line is it? There is a big rubber line doing to the head, probably 1 inch wide - is this the one? Thanks

I used copper high temp gasket sealant as well, even put a thin layer on all the gaskets, no issues whatsoever

I just repaired my manifold by drilling out the broken bolts and re-tapping. I used new OEM gaskets and a thin layer of copper RTV, no leaks at all. I also used red loctite on all fittings, including the lower bolts holding the pipe to the manifold. Make sure to replace the rubber grommets on...

I've discovered manifolds from about 1988 to 1995 all have the same bolt on setup, however, different engines 580/587/650/657x/718. So what you're saying is as long as it bolts up it will work fine regardless of what engine it came from? My ski is a 94 xp with 657x.

Yep, that's the one in my picture. #33 is the MAG low speed screw I believe which is not the one I'm looking for. The manual shows #59 as the correct screw. Thanks.

WOW, that was quick. Its a 94 XP with the stock 657X engine.

As per the manual for a '94 XP 657X (page 130, Section 5, Sub-section 3) I believe this is the correct screw to adjust the engine idle? Turn clockwise to increase to 3000RPM out of the water or 1500RPM in the water. Changed the grey fuel lines, cleaned the carbs and internal filters, its idling...

My tach leaks and doesn't work. I just bought a tach on Ebay for a 95XP, hoping its a simple plug in and go. Found one with a orange needle (hard to do!!). Anyone know if it will just swap out? Wires are different colors but looks like the same setup (3-wire). Thanks.

Can anyone confirm if this is the same part #. My ski has 979-141 on it but I'm told 6978-347 is the identical part.

My tach has a crack in the face. I've looked for replacements but I can't find any with an orange needle - mine has an orange needle - all the ones I've found have white needles. If I buy a used one can I open it up and swap either the clear glass face OR the orange needle. Thanks in advance.
