    951 Exhaust Bolts - HELP!!!

The boxed end was curved, I used the open end and worked it up from the top side of the carbs to get that nut to turn just enough to be able to grab it with my boxed end wrench from the top again. Repeat this step several times and you will get it tight. It may not be the right way to do it, but...

    951 Exhaust Bolts - HELP!!!

Tim, Get a box and open end wrench that has a curved head. I pulled my air breathers and what I couldn't get from the front side, I was able to turn that nut just enough to grab it from the top again. It probably isn't right but I tightened the bottom nut first, then the top and then side to...

    RX Fuel line replacement

Carb Rebuilds I just did mine, I was able to keep the linkage between the carbs on and turn the carbs to assess both sides. The primer pump linkage came off when I rebuilt the pto side. These carbs are doing great. You should take off the exhaust to make it easier to get to the carbs. Also...

    1999 gtx limited problems

Yes, I took the exhaust off to access the carbs easier. Fortunatly, the gasket was still good so i re-used. both the carb base gaskets and the exhaust gasket. be sure your gasket at carb base is good, you dont want to suck air through there. you have 2 internal filters, 1 in each carb. the mag...

98 GTX Seadoo limited, charging issues

Same thing happened to my 98 GTX. The stator went bad and it was constantly draining the battery. It was alot of process of elimination. To verify my findings, I removed the pos terminal on the battery. When I touched the terminal to the post, it sparked ( not just a little ) I checked all...

    2000 Seadoo Rx problem

951 motor went back in today and I rode it for the break-in period. Runs great! I sure am glad I took your advice about rebuilding carbs! Now here is a tricky situation. How do I get to the nut on the bottom of the exhaust pipe to tighten it? The carbs are right below and a standard open end...

    2000 Seadoo Rx problem

Thanks ski-d00, fuel baffle is working again. Lets face it, gas tanks don't stay full for long. When the tank is full the fuel gage doesnt register, I can live with that. Well, I have my new top end kit and re-sleeved cylinders and tomorrow is the day. Any last words of wisdom?

    2000 Seadoo Rx problem

I went a little to deep on the fuel baffle and took out 1 of the cross pieces that go all the way down to the bottom of the baffle. Can I remove the cut up piece or can I solder a bridge in its place? I'm sure the piece I cut was a sensor for the magnet on the magnetic fuel float. Its the 1st...

1996 Seadoo xp surges/bogs at full throttle

I'm not an expert, however I was having the same problem with grey fuel lines. I spent a total of $30-$35 on fuel lines and hose clamps. I used the black automotive fuel lines. The best thing I found to do was replace 1 line at a time. It might take a little longer but you know everything will...

1996 Seadoo xp surges/bogs at full throttle

Same thing mine was doing, surge and bog. I repaced all the fuel lines, replaced the fuel selector petcock and cleaned the on-board filter. After doing that itt ran better but still surged. I removed the carbs and opened the fuel pump side of the carb to access internal fuel filters. They were...

    2000 Seadoo Rx problem

Ok, I recently purchased 2 Seadoos. My 98 Gtx Limited is doing great. My 2000 RX is not so great. I started having a fuel problem and the RX was shutting down at WOT. So I replaced the grey fuel lines and cleaned the internal filters in the carbs. The RX ran perfect yesterday and I was hitting...

    1999 gtx limited problems

There are internal fuel filters inside the carbs. I just changed my grey gas lines and there was a ton of greenish blue goop in the internal filters. I cleaned the internal filters and my fuel problem was gone!
