got some aluminum bar stock for motor mounts. Tried removing prop off 951 stock pump for engine align tool and my Snap On badd arse big $ impact wont budge prop off. Worst one I have ever seen. Anyone have ideas for removing?

This is a sick project! Do you have the engine for it ready to go? Or are you rebuilding one

96 XP800!
Keep the 2 strokes alive!

I'm sorry, you've exceeded the forum's limit on the number of awesome toys in one photo. you've been kindly asked to host a party :)

Lol. Just boring customer stuff. Only thing exciting to me about RZR is turbo install. Water cooled intercooler pretty cool.

Nothin on engine yet. Just watching craiglist for smokin deal on donor boat. My doesnt seem to notice hundreds of dollars out a week on twin projects. If I go write a check $4k for a donor boat I maybe sleeping on the couch! (: happy wife happy life!

RZR is one of 7 we built for customer. Progressively getting more ridiculous . Pretty much daily type of exotic stuff we build sound systems in. $5k sound and lighting... blah blah boring car stereo stuff! But turbo is cool as hell custom manifold. Im engineering some heat deflection to keep turbo from catching seats on fire again. Customer complained his kids said my heated seats were stuck on full time.

Thing has a well engineered water cooled intercooler with electric pump and radiator at front. Wrecking havoc on my sound system. Fun stuff.

back on track Seadoodoc.. this is SD forum ..lol. seems I miss calculated engine height. So I had to cut out and countersink aluminum plates and reglassed ( cf). 3 beers ...21 mins. And itching like a mofo. Carbon particles are not skin-respiratory friendly.

Yes 500. We have massive dune riding area 60 mins away. Pretty cool when we ride in surf on Seadoos they gather 20 to 40 deep on quads and RZR watching us jump .

Just brain storming here. Back in the 90's we use to run wot on three seaters and pull reverse gate thus diving nose violently. Fun times and some serious nose stabs. 12 years later and SD has IBS . Braking system on this project might be fun. Any thoughts?

just chiseling away one hr a day. Some more broom stick alignment. Decided on two piece drive line to give more flexibity on alignment. Looks like cutting twin rxt shafts and threading on Yamaha couplers is going trend.

SeadoodocJR using plasma cutter for bearing carrier support plate. Did some exhaustive measurements on tolerances to ensure center and alignment. We made sure to leave room for shims. Adding height will be easy, however taking away will prove disastrous. Tough gig not having crankshaft. However " homemade " this project seems we are ensuring some serious accuracy in assembly.

A braking system would be cool. The drop bucket/gate of manual old school was nice, it would stop the ski then you could get right back on the throttle.

When I rode the RXP_X260, I was beyond disappointed that it wasn't like car brakes... if you hit the brake, it was like 30 minutes before you could hit the throttle and GO.

I wanted to be able to hit the brakes for the corners and power out of them.

it may have been closer to 20 seconds, but whatever, it was TOO long.

if you do brakes, they'd have to be variable to the cable pull/push. they'd have to be fast, and they'd have to pull back fast.

so 2 small drop arms on both sides that use springs to pull UP and out of the water. then when you pull your left hand brake in or finger throttle assembly on the left hand, it pulls the arms DOWN. when you release, they instantly go UP and out of the water.

Ok Sabr you talked me out of it. Managed to get hull on scale today. Right at 71lbs. Looks like a few more detail will final at 75. Big swing from 127 lbs.

Lol. Guess who put a deposit on one today... Lol.

The bike or Tesla, LOL.

BTW, great build.

We have a stock RZR and I don't understand these guys that spend all the money modifying the RZR's because for the same if not less money they could just buy a bitchn' sand rail that will smoke them.

Okay the first pic. Is there no belt cover for that primary and secondary on those sand racers, or were you just working on it?

Good point mik, except sand rails cant go in the mud :)

Off topic.. but fun. We have found the 4 seaters will not survive a day at the dunes on a belt. We have tried fan cooling.. vented covers ..u name it. 1800 lbs loaded with an extra weight of 4 people. Then stereo and extras. So this turbo RZR we adapted a snowmobile wider belt and clutch system. Open air keeps cool and no issues. Obviously non functional anywhere but sand. It works finally. We have had many 100k 1000hp sand rails in our crew and has proven to be just unsafe for fellow riders on Oregon Dunes. Too damn fast and should stick to glamis. Any given day we see 100 built RZR's on Oregon coast. You cant run a full size buggy through trees and trails!

Workin on this frickin RZR is cuttin into my project time dang it. Pays the bills anyway. Full aluminum bent heat shield with Dynamatt to keep cockpit cool. Customer wont be happy with
