god that is sick. i love that x4, and here i thought i was building the baddest one around lol.
i've been throwing around the idea for about a year now to build a 4tec simi perab xp. my idea was just to start with a stock 97 787 hull, move the motor to dead center of the hull. then make a custom gas tank for up front, and mount the intercooler, battery, and as much as possible in the rear of the hull. from what i've read and the people i've talked to when you do this you have to keep as much weight rearward as you can other wise the nose will try to "dolphin dive" on you. one guy i talked to even added ballast tanks to his rear that that could be filled and controlled from the handle bars, i think he said he was adding 40 lbs to the rear at under 30 mph speeds, other wise his nose was diving in corners and lifting his sponsons out of the water, granted it was over 2 years ago that i talk to him so it kinda hard for me to remember the exact numbers.
he said when you're pushing 260+ horsepower in that comparatively little hull you already have a huge advantage on 85% of the amateur competition. i'm very interested in watching this, especially by the looks of it you do amazing work!!!
