Large tornadoes, damage reported in Dallas area

This frame grab provided by KDFW-TV shows tornado damage at the Flying J tru...

DALLAS — Tornadoes tore through the Dallas area on Tuesday, tearing roofs off homes, tossing trucks into the air and leaving flattened tractor trailers strewn along highways and parking lots.

The National Weather Service confirmed at least two separate "large and extremely dangerous" tornadoes in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Several other developing twisters were reported as a band of violent storms moved north through the metropolitan area. Officials had no immediate information about injuries.

Footage from highway video cameras showed a large, dark funnel cloud moving on the ground not far from a major interstate early Tuesday afternoon. Crumpled orange tractor trailers were later visible in a Dallas County parking lot, as well as flattened trailers along the sides of highways and access roads.

In Lancaster, south of Dallas, local television footage showed homes without roofs while other buildings were flattened. Plywood was strewn on the grass and on top of buildings. Residents could be seen walking down the street with firefighters and peering into homes, looking at the damage after the storm passed.

The storm pushed cars into fences and toppled trees. Branches and limbs were scattered across lawns and in the streets. A tow-behind RV was torn apart and crumpled in a driveway where part of a roof of the home was torn off.

"Obviously we're going to have a lot of assessments to make when this is done," Dallas County spokeswoman Maria Arita told The Associated Press.

Dallas Police spokeswoman Sherri Jeffrey said an apparent twister also touched down and caused damage within the city's southern limits, though the extent was not immediately known.

DFW Airport spokesman David Magana told WFAA-TV that airport employees pulled passengers away from glass windows and into inside areas of the airport as the storms moved through.

"We did see some heavy rain at this point we do expect to have number of flights diverted and canceled," Magana said. "We do not have any damage reports at the airport that I am aware of."

A spokeswoman for the Lancaster school district spokeswoman said officials did not immediately know of any damage to schools. Leslie Johnston, spokeswoman for Arlington Independent School District, in between Dallas and Fort Worth, said all schools there had students take shelter and several schools reported power outages.

The weather service said "considerable damage" also was reported in a rural Johnson County, south of Fort Worth.

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - Car wreck

Deputies say two Michigan teens on spring break in north Florida pulled a couple from a burning car following a crash.
What happened

The Flagler County Sheriff's Office says Cody Decker and Luke Vaughn, both 17, saw a vehicle crash and catch fire seconds after it sped past them on Tuesday.

Deputies say the teens pulled 42-year-old Carlos Adams and 44-year-old Tracy Lopez from the burning 2002 Jaguar. One of the teens broke the glass and bent the door frame to get the couple out.
Quick actions saved the couple

Flagler County Sheriff Donald W. Fleming says their quick action likely saved the couple.

The victims were taken to the hospital in critical condition. The teens were treated by rescue crews for minor injuries to their hands.

The teens are from Dewitt, Michigan in Clinton County.

Hi all, I also posted this in the "Ask Jake, Lou & criss" thread.

I found this on the website of a local yard equipment company.
Wiengartz has a few stores and are widely known around here.
Something to think about. What about our skis...should we up the octane too?

Join us on Facebook or email Mr. Weingartz at newsletter@weingartz.com for answers to your questions on everything from lawn to snow. Mr. Weingartz will answer all questions and maybe publish your question in a print or e-newsletter.
Q.
What kind of fuel do you recommend that I put into my gas-powered leaf blower?
A.
For years, we recommended standard unleaded gas for all of our equipment, but recent changes in the gasoline that we get at the pump have changed that recommendation. Now we recommend using 89 octane or greater in all small engines, especially two-cycle engines. Rising levels of ethanol in fuel can cause problems for carbureted engines (while most automobile engines are fuel-injected, almost all power equipment engines are carbureted). One way to combat these issues is by using a higher octane fuel. Also, make certain to use properly rated two-cycle oil per your operator's manual in all two-cycle equipment.

Mercury Marine
Mercury Marine expressed sadness Friday regarding the death of television host and fishing legend Jose Wejebe, and offered condolences to the family of the longtime friend and partner of the boat engine company.

Wejebe of Summerland Key in Florida was killed Friday afternoon in a plane crash immediately after takeoff from Everglades City, Fla. He was the host of “Spanish Fly,” a popular weekly fishing show sponsored by Mercury Marine that took viewers on exciting visual fishing journeys throughout the world.

Wejebe was well known and warmly embraced by the saltwater fishing community, not only for his remarkable fishing skills, but perhaps even more so for his gentle and humble appreciation of nature and people. He was a strong supporter of many charitable organizations, and had worked with Mercury Marine for more than a decade.

Mercury Marine will establish a memorial fund in Wejebe’s honor, with the specific cause still to be determined.

“Jose’s death obviously comes as a terrible shock and will create a huge gap not only in the world of fishing, but also in everyone who knew Jose or benefited from his kind generosity and remarkable perspective,” said Mark Schwabero, president of Mercury Marine. “He was a great friend of this company and a wonderful person. He will be missed, and our thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family.”

Pilot turns back after snake pops out of dashboard plus other pilots have found a chicken and a crocodile on a plane.

CANBERRA, Australia — An Australian pilot said he was forced to make a harrowing landing reminiscent of a Hollywood thriller after a snake popped out from behind his dashboard and slithered across his leg during a solo cargo flight.

Braden Blennerhassett — unsure whether the snake was venomous — said Thursday that his heart raced as he tried to keep his hands still while maneuvering the plane back to the northern city of Darwin. The snake popped its head out from behind the instrument panel several times, Blennerhassett said, and then the ordeal worsened when the animal crawled across his leg during the approach to the airport.

"I've seen it on a movie once, but never in an airplane," Blennerhassett told Australian Broadcasting Corp., referring to the 2006 movie "Snakes on a Plane," in which deadly snakes are deliberately released in an airliner as part of a murder plot.

The 26-year-old Air Frontier pilot was alone in a twin-engine Beechcraft Baron G58 and had just left Darwin airport on a cargo run to a remote Outback Aboriginal settlement when he saw the snake on Tuesday.

Air Frontier director Geoff Hunt described Blennerhassett as a "cool character" who radioed air traffic control to report: "I'm going to have to return to Darwin. I've got a snake on board the plane."

But Blennerhassett admits he was shaken, telling Nine Network television that his blood pressure and hear rate were "a bit elevated."

"You're trying to be as still as you possibly can and when you've got your hands on the power levers," he told ABC. "You're kind of worried about the snake taking that as a threat and biting you."

"As the plane was landing, the snake was crawling down my leg, which was frightening," he told Nine.

Once the plane had landed, a firefighter spotted the snake but authorities were not immediately able to catch it, Air Frontier official Michael Ellen said. A trap baited with a mouse failed to catch the snake by Thursday, and the plane remained grounded.

Wildlife ranger Sally Heaton said the snake was suspected to be a golden tree snake, a non-venomous species that can grow up to 1.5 meters (5 feet).

Blennerhassett was back in the air Thursday and could not be immediately contacted for comment.

Hunt said he was not aware of a snake being found in a plane before in Australia, but that he had heard of a young chicken being found alive under the floor of a plane and of an escaped juvenile crocodile crawling under a pilot's rudder pedal.

Alligator visits Louisiana motel, bites guest

PORT ALLEN, La. (AP) — Authorities in Louisiana say a 6-foot alligator showed up at the front door of a Super 8 Motel outside Baton Rouge and bit a guest.

West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff Mike Cazes tells The Advocate his office got the call about the alligator around 4 p.m. Wednesday in Port Allen.

Matt Marszal, the motel's front desk clerk, says the gator bit one of the motel guests who tried to catch it before Animal Control workers showed up.

Marszal said the man was taken to the hospital. Once Animal Control workers arrived, he said the gator was subdued within 5 minutes.

Vt. governor chased by 4 bears in backyard See the red highlighted words.....funny

FILE - In this March 15, 2012 photo, Gov. Peter Shumlin, right, holds a news...

MONTPELIER, Vt. — A late-night encounter with four bears trying to snack from backyard birdfeeders gave Vermont's governor a lesson in what not to do in bear country.

One of the bears chased Peter Shumlin and nearly caught the governor while he was trying to shoo the animals away, he said Friday.

"I had a close encounter with a bear, four bears to be exact," Shumlin said.

Shumlin said he had just gone to bed inside his rented home on the edge of Montpelier late Wednesday when the bears woke him up. He looked out the window and saw the bears in a tree about five feet from the house trying to get food from his four birdfeeders.

"I open up the window and yell at them to get away from the birdfeeders. They kind of trot off," Shumlin said Friday. "I go around to the kitchen to turn the lights on and look from the other side and they're back in the birdfeeders. So I figure I've got to get the birdfeeders out of there or they're going to make this a habit."

He said he then ran out and first grabbed two of the feeders. As he grabbed the other two and made his escape, "one of the bigger bears was interested in me."

"It was probably six feet from me before I slammed the door and it ran the other way," Shumlin said.

Shumlin said he didn't stop to get dressed, though he didn't reveal exactly how little he was wearing.

"I sleep like many Vermont boys, without too much clothing at night. I'm not a big pajama person," he said. "The bottom line is: The bears were dressed better than I and they could have done some real damage."

Shumlin, 56, a first term Democratic governor from Putney, said he had part of the encounter on video, which he refused to release. He first described the wild encounter in an interview with the editorial board of the Valley News newspaper of Lebanon, N.H. He told the newspaper he was within "three feet of getting `arrrh.'"

"The lesson is as a Vermonter who grew up in this state and should know better, if you're going to feed birds at this time of year, bring your birdfeeders in at night," he said.

But Col. David LeCours, Vermont's chief game warden, said bringing feeders in at night won't make a difference because the bears will return to eat the birdfeed on the ground. The Department of Fish and Wildlife urges homeowners to remove birdfeeders in the spring.

While homeowners like to watch the birds, they don't need to be fed once the snow melts, LeCours said.

In certain circumstances, such as if someone is deliberately trying to attract bears, people can be fined for keeping feeders out, but that wouldn't apply in the governor's case.

"If someone does it inadvertently, there's no violation of law," LeCours said.

LeCours said it was likely Shumlin was dealing with a sow with three cubs. He said he'd never heard of a bear chasing after a person with food, but mother bears will protect their young.

"She most likely felt her cubs were being threatened," LeCours said.

'America's oldest teen' Dick Clark dies
Clark suffered massive heart attack, publicist says

Broadcast icon Dick Clark, the longtime host of "American Bandstand," has died, publicist Paul Shefrin said. He was 82.
Clark suffered a heart attack while at St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica for an outpatient procedure, his publicist said Wednesday. "Attempts to resuscitate were unsuccessful."
The family has not yet decided if there will be a public memorial service for Clark, although Shefrin said, "There will be no funeral."
Quick Clicks
Clark suffered what was then described as "a mild stroke" in December 2004, just months after announcing he had been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.
That stroke forced Clark to cut back on his on-camera work, including giving up the hosting duties for the "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" specials. He returned as a co-host with Ryan Seacrest on December 31, 2005.
Clark anguished each year over whether to continue appearing on the annual show because of limitations on his speech from the stroke, U.S. Rep. David Dreier, a longtime friend, told CNN Wednesday.
"But then he would get deluged by people who were stroke victims and other people who had infirmities and they were such admirers of his fighting spirit," said Dreier, R-California.

Clark appeared on the last show for New Year's Eve 2011.
"He loved it, but at the same time he knew that his continued diligence was providing inspiration to a lot of people who were going through difficulties, facing infirmities themselves," Drier said.
Seacrest gave a statement to CNN expressing deep sadness for "the loss of my dear friend Dick Clark."
"He has truly been one of the greatest influences in my life," Seacrest said. "I idolized him from the start, and I was graced early on in my career with his generous advice and counsel. When I joined his show in 2006, it was a dream come true to work with him every New Year's Eve for the last 6 years."
Seacrest called Clark "smart, charming, funny and always a true gentleman."
"I learned a great deal from him, and I'll always be indebted to him for his faith and support of me," he said. "He was a remarkable host and businessman and left a rich legacy to television audiences around the world. We will all miss him."
Another major figure on the music scene was too upset to talk about Clark's death. Radio host Casey Kasem's wife, Jean, told CNN that Clark served as substitute host for Kasem's popular "American Top 40."

"We just feel that he was one of the most magnanimous human beings that we ever knew in the industry," Jean Kasem said of Clark.

Clark's "American Bandstand" work, which he began when it was a local TV show in Philadelphia in 1956, earned him the nickname "America's oldest living teenager." The show was picked up by ABC and broadcast nationally a year later.
The entrepreneur helped introduce new rock 'n' roll performers to millions of TV viewers and radio listeners.
"Only God is responsible for making more stars than Dick Clark," said singer Tony Orlando, who was 16 when he first appeared on Clark's show in 1961.
"You had to go through the world and universe of Dick Clark in order to part of the record business," Orlando said.
Clark became wealthy also as a businessman, producing successful TV shows through Dick Clark Productions. He sold the company to Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder in 2007.
"One of the real draws when we purchased Dick Clark Productions was the opportunity to build on the tremendous foundation of programming that this icon of American broadcasting created," Snyder said Wednesday. "I got to know Dick over the past five years and he was just as personable and warm in person as he was on television. Once you got to know Dick, it was obvious why he was so beloved by his fans. He was, in every sense of the word, a giant."

Born Richard Wagstaff Clark in Mount Vernon, New York, on November 30, 1929, he began his broadcast career working at a radio station managed by his father.
Clark, who was married three times, is survived by his wife, Kari, two sons and a daughter.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted Clark in its nonperformer category in 1993.
Clark also hosted numerous other television favorites, including "$25,000 Pyramid" and "TV's Bloopers and Practical Jokes."

Sorry if this goes against the guidelines I mentioned in the first post. I thought it was important enough to warrant a posting.
My thoughts and prayers go out to this fella and his family and any friends of his that might belong to this forum.

The incident occurred Saturday during a firearms safety class at a residence. The instructor, Thomas Starke, told police he'd left the room and then heard a shot.

The Deels were taken to a local hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Michael Deel says the shooting was a "stupid accident."

Don't go to your ex for tooth extraction.....

If you're planning a trip to the dentist, it might not be the wisest decision to make your appointment with the person with whom you just broke up.
A Polish woman is facing three years in prison after she removed all of her ex-boyfriend's teeth during dental surgery just days after their breakup.
"I tried to be professional and detach myself from my emotions," Anna Mackowiak, 34, told the Austrian Times. "But when I saw him lying there I just thought, 'What a bastard' and decided to take all his teeth out."

Marek Olszewski, 45, reportedly showed up at Mackowiak's dental office complaining of toothache just days after he broke up with her. She then allegedly gave him a "heavy dose" of anesthetic, locked the door and began removing all of his teeth one at a time.
"I knew something was wrong because when I woke up I couldn't feel any teeth and my jaw was strapped up with bandages," Olszewski said.

"She told me my mouth was numb and I wouldn't be able to feel anything for a while and that the bandage was there to protect the gums, but that I would need to see a specialist," he said.
"I didn't have any reason to doubt her, I mean I thought she was a professional."
Adding to his trauma, Olszewski said his new girlfriend has already left him over his now toothless appearance.
"And I'm going to have to pay a fortune on getting indents or something," he said.
Mackowiak is currently being investigated for medical malpractice.

Man sues BMW, alleging motorcycle seat gave him two-year erection

Professional French motorcycle rider Erwan Nigon (Michel Euler/AP)Commercials for erectile dysfunction medications like Cialis end with a warning that individuals should contact their doctor if they have an erection that lasts for more than four hours.

After 20 months, Henry Wolf decided to contact a lawyer instead, claiming that the seat on his BMW motorcycle gave him an erection lasting nearly two years. The San Francisco Chronicle reports that Wolf filed a lawsuit against BMW North American and Corbin-Pacific claiming that the "ridged seat" on his 1993 motorcycle left him with mental and emotional anguish after allegedly causing an extreme case of priapism, also known as a long-lasting erection.

Wolf "has been experiencing continuing problems since his motorcycle ride," attorney Vernon Bradley of Sausalito wrote in the lawsuit, which was filed in California Superior Court in San Francisco last Thursday. "He is now unable to engage in sexual activity, which is causing him substantial emotional and mental anguish."

Bradley said the alleged case of priapism began after Wolf took a four-hour ride on his motorcycle.

As those erectile dysfunction commercials so regularly note, priapism can technically be onset after just four hours and is generally considered an emergency medical condition. The condition is named after the Greek fertility god Priapus, who is commonly depicted as having an unusually large erection.

According to USA Today, Wolf is seeking monetary damages for lost wages, medical expenses, emotional distress and "general damage."

The All About Bikes blog notes that there have been several instances alleging erectile dysfunction as a result of narrow motorcycle seats but that this appears to be the first case where a medical condition with the exact opposite effect has been alleged.

Florida radio station WWJ Newsradio 950 spoke with Michigan Institute of Urology's Dr. Michael Luts who said there is "no medical data" to support Wolf's claim, again citing the evidence that riding a motorcycle for an extended period of time typically works against the body's ability to achieve sexual arousal.

"It's been long-known that compression of the neurovascular supply to the penis—if it's compressed for a period of time, whether it be on a bicycle seat or some other device—it can actually cause prolonged numbness of the genitalia," Lutz told the station.

10 foot Lego house.....

Lego-house.jpgLego-house.jpg

A 6-year-old Colorado boy battling a rare soft tissue cancer gets his wish -- a life-sized playhouse made from 12,000 Legos.
Make-A-Wish Colorado crews spend five weekends building the Lego playhouse in family's Broomfield, Colo., basement for Alexander Gintchin, whose cancer is currently in remission, The Daily Camera newspaper reported.

The group used 50 large gray plates on the outside of the house for "siding," and an estimated 10,000 to 12,000 blocks for other elements of the construction. The 8-by-10-foot house also includes a built-in loft with a bed, pull-out couch and TV, according to The Huffington Post.

There's also a mailbox and a life-size Lego man at the front entrance, presenting a golden Lego on a key chain.
Alexander was bowled over the first time he saw the playhouse.
"They poured their heart into it to try to grant every single detail," Alexander's father, Lazar Gintchin, told The Daily Camera. "It's incredible. He's really going to have a blast here."
When Alexander no longer plays with the house, the family wants to donate it to a facility that helps families with sick children.

Another testicle ticket written in South Carolina

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — For the second time in a year, a motorist has been ticketed in South Carolina for displaying a replica of testicles on a vehicle.
A Spartanburg County sheriff's deputy stopped a truck Sunday evening after noticing the "anatomically correct" display on the rear bumper. The incident report says the driver removed the display after being stopped but he was arrested for driving without a license. He was also given a warning ticket for having an obscene display.
Last July, a Berkeley County woman was ticketed for having a similar display on the back of her truck.
That case is to go to trial in municipal court in the town of Bonneau. That trial has been delayed three times and no new trial date has been set.

Flyers' owner sued over Winter Classic tickets

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Lawyers for a Philadelphia Flyers season ticket-holder have sued the team's owner over its policy for tickets to the outdoor Winter Classic. The team calls the lawsuit frivolous.
Jenkintown, Pa.-based Stern & Eisenberg filed the suit against Comcast-Spectacor in New Jersey's Mercer County Superior Court on Friday. The lawsuit says team owners breached the contract by forcing season ticket-holders to purchase tickets to the Jan. 2 Winter Classic at Citizens Bank Park separately and at a higher price.
The suit says fans who bought a 44-game season ticket package for 2011-2012 got only 43 tickets. The plaintiff says those who bought season tickets were told they would have to purchase Winter Classic tickets separately.
Attorney Evan Barenbaum calls the policy ``illogical and unfair'' and says thousands of ticket-holders could be affected. Comcast-Spectacor calls the suit frivolous and says it will ``vigorously defend'' itself.

Australian Wine Production Washed Out By Rain Sorry crisso but you like beer better anyways....

Australian wine production is set to fall to a five-year low due mainly to two wet summers in the grape growing regions of New South Wales and South Australia.
The 2012 harvest is estimated at 1.53m tonnes, the lowest total since 2007's crop of 1.41m tonnes, according to the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences (ABARES).
Executive director Paul Morris said: "For many regions in eastern Australia, the damage sustained by vineyards during the wet 2010-11 growing season had a negative effect on the fruit set of this year's crop. As a result, vines had fewer grape bunches with smaller berries on each bunch, although the quality is expected to be good."
A 2-5% cut in production is likely across Australia's warm climate zones of the Murray Darling, Swan Hill, Big Rivers and Lower Murray, which together account for about 60% of the country's wine production.
Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon are expected to suffer particularly reduced yields as a result of the wet conditions suffered in 2011.
Australian wine exports have suffered in recent years amid global competition from newer suppliers including South Africa and Chile. This has resulted in an increase in the proportion of Australian wine shipped in bulk rather than in bottles.
In 2010/11, Australia shipped 47 per cent of its wine exports in bulk as opposed to higher-value bottled wine, compared with 40 percent a year earlier, ABARES said.
Prices have also struggled. With the exception of 2007/08, real and nominal wine grape prices have been declining annually over the past decade.
Lawrie Stanford, executive director of industry group Wine Grape Growers Australia, acknowledged the pressures facing the market.
"Although there was upward pressure on prices this year, according to anecdotal reports, we know even with that many, many growers still did not return to sustainable prices," he said.
Despite the prospect of lower prices next year, Stanford said Australia had excellent prospects for sales of high quality wine, but he said growers of lower quality wines would struggle.
ABARES, which expects the harvest to recover to 1.63 million tonnes by 2013/14, said the quality of the current wine grape crop was reported to be good.

Inflatable pool slides recalled after 1 death

WASHINGTON — About 21,000 inflatable water slides for in-ground pools are being recalled after the death of a 29-year-old mother.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the Banzai water slides can deflate during use and the rider can hit the ground underneath the slide. The vinyl slide can also topple in both still and windy conditions, the CPSC said Thursday.

The commission said a 29-year-old Colorado mother died in Andover, Mass., after fracturing her neck going down a Banzai in-ground pool water slide. She hit her head at the bottom of a partially deflated slide. The CPSC knows of two other injuries — a man from Springfield, Mo., who became a quadriplegic and a woman from Allentown, Pa., who fractured her neck.
The slides were manufactured in China by Manley Toys Ltd., and were sold at Walmart and Toys R Us nationwide from January 2005 through June 2009.
People are urged to immediately stop using the slide and return it to Walmart or Toys R Us for a full refund.
Consumers can call Walmart at 800-925-6278 or Toys R Us at 800-869-7787 for more information.

Egypt funeral turns happy after dead man awakes.....guess he just took a long deep nap?!?!?!?!

LUXOR, Egypt — The funeral of a 28 year-old waiter in southern Egypt turned into a celebration when he woke up after being declared dead.
Hospital officials had pronounced dead Hamdi Hafez al-Nubi, who came from the village of Naga al-Simman in the southern province of Luxor, after he suffered a heart attack while working.

His family says grieving relatives took him home and, according to Islamic tradition, washed his body and prepared him for burial Friday evening.
A doctor sent to sign the death certificate found it strange that his body was warm. At closer observation she discovered he was still alive.
His mother fainted upon hearing the good news.
With the doctor's assistance, both al-Nubi and his mother were awakened and soon were celebrating with guests.

hmmmm: Obama's Bio IN HIS OWN BOOK says he is born in Kenya. True or not, just shows this guy will lie about anything.

According to archive.org, a website that caches websites on a regular basis, the Dystel.com website – the official website for Dystel & Goderich, Obama’s literary agents – was using the Barack Obama “born in Kenya” language until April 2007, just two months after then-Senator Obama declared his campaign for the presidency

Archive.org shows that the Dystel website used the following biography for Obama as of April 3, 2007:

BARACK OBAMA is the junior Democratic senator from Illinois and was the dynamic keynote speaker at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. He was also the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review. He was born in Kenya to an American anthropologist and a Kenyan finance minister and was raised in Indonesia, Hawaii, and Chicago. His first book, DREAMS FROM MY FATHER: A STORY OF RACE AND INHERITANCE, has been a long time New York Times bestseller.

Obama launched his presidential campaign in February 2007.

By April 21, 2007, the Obama bio had been changed to state that Obama was born in Hawaii:

BARACK OBAMA is the junior Democratic senator from Illinois and was the dynamic keynote speaker at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. He was also the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review. He was born in Hawaii to an American anthropologist and a Kenyan finance minister and was raised in Indonesia, Hawaii, and Chicago. His first book, DREAMS FROM MY FATHER: A STORY OF RACE AND INHERITANCE, has been a long time New York Times bestseller.

Obama had already been a national figure for three years, since the Democratic National Convention in 2004, by the time the biography was changed; he had been a sitting Senator for over two years.

This is the biggest load of shit I have read in years.SDB thankyou for putting it up.These figures are mainly from ONE wine company and its affiliates. My family has had record growth.Good grapes will always get good prices.Everyone wants to jump on a good thing.Vineyards take years to grow. You cannot just plant some vines and in 5 years, you get money.Ours has only been going for 20 years. But 100 acres, half a million bottles a year, and growing, proves that there is only so many good managers out there. One tonne of grapes, gives 750 bottles of wine.In Aussie. You can blend up to nearly 50% of the bottle and still call it your own. This is ok because you do not cart around big volumns of juice. What you get in local wines is very true. And good. This means that even in a low season, you can still blend your grapes with another region, and still produce great wines.
I just want to add.Berry size is totally important.Whites they do not care. They crush them and the pulp is gone.Nearly always.Reds is a different story.Pulp from a red grape is white!.Its the grape skins that give the colour and tannins. They crush the reds and then let them sit with all the grapecrush to give the wine the actual colour of the grapeskins.Big grapes are not sought. No tannins.Tannins is the dry feeling you get, after a taste of red wine. The balance is to get the sweet of the grape, and then the slow dryness as an aftertaste..You irrigate a vineyard. And what you do is control its rainfall, berry set and quality.Enough said I think
