Tow Rig is a 2007 Avalanche Tows like a dream, only averages 12mpg though in tow mode. Was a pain to back up trailer until guides were installed because you couldnt see the trailer .......
I installed it myself, It is built into the license plate frame. It doesnt show the sides of the trailer, but enough that I can tell if its straight or not when baking up. I kinda like the way it is from the factory. Ill probably get it on the next truck that way.
Make sure you don't tow in "D". Drop it to "3". The tranny doesn't cool too well. I would also advise adding a tranny cooler. Can't beat a Dodge Caravan/Town and Country!!!! I have over a quarter millilon miles on mine!I use my wife's 2010 Chysler T & C Minivan with a 4.0 V6. Much to my surprise this Minivan is an excellent tow car! It averaged 16MPG overall for 1,100 miles on a Powell trip, it has loads of power, handles great and it's a Limited so it's almost as comfortable as my living room. I'm pulling Two, 3 passenger, 1200cc 4 stroke skis.

It's a 6 speed auto, I run in 5 and drop to 4 for the pass(es). The 4.0 comes with a giant external trans cooler from the factory. But if all else fails I have the factory extended warranty.
