Walmart discontinuing Quicksilver API-TC oil??

Went to the second WalMart close to me and they had four of the gallon jugs so I bought all. The reason they are running out is because Quicksilver is not making the oil any longer.

I concur with the above that Walmart is discontinuing the oil. I found 4 gal at one Walmart discounted to $21 from $28. Yesterday I tried a different Walmart and found none on the shelf, but the killer deal was apparently the last one in stock on the severe discount shelf for $3 (yes, three dolla).

And I thought that I got the mother of all deals at $10/gal!

We stopped at Walmart on the way to the lake today. So I said to myself, since I'm still using Quicksilver PWC synthetic blend in the 96GTI, and since I heard it was on clearance I think I'll check it out. Here's what I found, Quicksilver full synthetic in both the older black jug and the newer silver jug they had plenty at $38.00 a gallon. The synthetic blend, none in the gallon size, however they had quarts, reduced from 8.47 to 7.00, which if my third grade math still serves me is $28.00 a gallon, certainly no bargain.

Also I don't consider the full synthetic at $38.00 a gallon any bargain, I've been buying XPS2 full synthetic for $44.00 shipped, I think its 46.00 this year. Anyway I thought I would pass this information along.

Oh and they also didn't have any ladies visors either, so we both left empty handed. Something rarely seen in KY, so "I went to Walmart and couldn't find anything to buy".

I assume Lexington Motorsports would be your local dealer?

I think I posted similar info earlier (or maybe a different thread) but ANY dealer using the PSN website has the oil listed for $42.99 a gallon. If I walk in to my dealer it will run me $52.99 off the shelf, I can order online and pick up for $42.99 plus tax which puts me with 6% @ $45.57 OTD. And just think, you're supporting local business. They still have to be making money if Mosties and other can sell it for $45 SHIPPED!

So to ALL you guys complaining about price (as compared to $38 for the QS oil, the XPS isn't really that much more)---go to your local dealer website it it's similar to the one posted below or says "Site designed by PSN" (at the bottom) you should be good to go. I have checked NUMEROUS Doo dealers and found them all listed @ $42.99 per gallon. Just another friendly savings tip!

Search 293600133 or XPS-II and navigate to the correct oil

Agreed. I know with my local dealer, who is literally 5 minutes away, that I will get 10% off if I buy at least a case of oil.

So I am looking around 38$ a gallon for myself

Went to Walmart last night and there is still plenty of Quicksilver full synthetic available at full price available. There's 14 other stores within 50 miles that also have it in stock according to their online inventory.

The full synthetic is not the one currently being discontinued. If you look at your picture, the gallon on the bottom shelf that does not have the yellow on the label that also states PWC is the oil that is no longer avail and being blown out at severe discount. I am sure others can weigh in on quicksilver PWC full synthetic being or not being good for the low ash requirement for the 2 stroke rotax but the only Quicksilver 2 stroke oil label that specifically states it is a low ash and for API-TC rating is the one that is discontinued.
