Thinking of buying a Spark

Hello, new to the forums.
I'll get right to it.

I'm considering buying a new(2015 or 2016) Sea Doo Spark. It would be the 3 person model.
My main concern is my wife. She's had some bad experiences with our previous jet skis('89 Waverunner and '96 ZXI 1100) not feeling stable under her. She's not afraid of water, but she's not entirely comfortable on it either. Last year, we got on some friend's 2014 Sea Doo GTI 130 (maybe?) and she really liked how stable it felt. She could stand on one side of it, both feet, and it wouldn't tip over. That's kind of her standard now. We're thinking of getting a Spark, which has a similar footprint, but I'm curious how stable it is compared to theirs. I don't know that it has to allow her to stand on one side only, but it should give her a sense of stability out on the water. Also she wants the ease of climbing back on if she gets thrown off.
What's it like on one of these? Also, my ZXI was fast as hell, but I'm guessing the Spark isn't going to match it in performance? Maybe not the most important thing though, seems to be making the wife happy takes precedence here.
Thanks in advance...

The size of the two will be similar but the GTI is quite a bit heavier which will give it more of a sturdy feel. We have a member here cheappc that says the difference for him between the 2 up and 3 up is night and day. If the wife wants the stability I may lean toward the GTI jsut to keep her happy

As Hfgreg points out, the 3-up is a good ski for what it is. However, it is NOT a GTI in regards to the stability that she felt when using the GTI.

I would not recommend the Spark based on your parameters. At the VERY least, if you are still wanting one, get to a dealer that will allow a ride and drive. I think you will find the stability to be less than you desire. The Spark is a quick and nimble ski and can reach speeds nearing 50 MPH quickly.

I would suggest purchasing a late model used full size ski. The GTX for example. Super stable and plenty of speed depending on what engine you get. The 155 will get to 52 mph in most cases. Bump up to a Super Charged engine and you will see another 20 mph. The GTX is like the Caddy.. Very smooth, stable, and gets great fuel economy in the 155 model.

Look, honestly I love my spark for what it is, best of all I owe very little on it.. soon it's going to be paid off.

But my next ski, is going to be a gti, or something along those lines, from what you are telling me, I think you should probably go those lines. I love my spark, when I want something light and playful, but sometimes I just want to cruise with a lot of stability, the spark gets 90% there..

Also one more important thing, I weigh 260 my wife weighs 120, we are perfect on a spark, however me and my sister went to the lake last Sunday she weighs 280, both of us would not be ok on a spark.
