Actually it's more like a cult, Doc Honda made some X4 cult decals, I had a set on my 96XP that I sold.

Say Lou, you said you had a 96 before. My next project is gonna be a 95 800 when i find one for the right price. How do you like the 95 to the 96? Any major differences in ridability with the longer pump? Funner?

Honestly I can't tell a lot of difference, in the ride or performance, I do like the hump seat, and it looks cool. The one I have doesn't have the original "X" engine so some of the purists wouldn't approve. It's got a rebuilt SBT premium engine. Other than the engine I've kept it pretty much stock, pink graphics and all.

I don't have any recent pics. this one is a couple of years old, the ski is at the lake, I'll get some new pics. next time I bring her home.

contact nick or jesse. I don't think I have any in my bin but if I do i'l pm you tomorrow.

thought i'd post the results of a quick evapo-rust experiment. I learned about this stuff from the clapped out thread...

dunked half the flywheel below into this stuff and let it sit overnight. bottom line, if anybody has some rusty stuff that needs a good cleaning, this stuff is DA Bee's Knees !!!

LOL, watch it Spim it's like liquid crack! But it makes the stuff so mint and usable again. Glad you like it.

literally just last night, I was walking around the garage for 5 minutes looking for something to soak, threw some old sockets in there and an impeller...

I felt like that palmolive lady...

Well, isn't the 85/88 nozzle slightly larger than the stock nozzle? If so, the velocity of the water exiting would be a bit slower. This would allow you more holeshot, but less top-speed. 57 is still pretty damn good on this tiny little rocket sled ;)
The 85/88 is smaller then stock... more force, I still swear by the buttdyno I gained both acceleration and top end with my R&D nozzle setup and stock impellar.

Buy a stubby 17 MM wrench.

Oh wait, you said the allen bolts..... I didn't have trouble. I think I used a allen socket.

I tried using my 3/8 Allen socket but it was to short so the ratchet hits the pipe so I had to use a regular Allen wrench to get them off and it still scrubs the pipe when I turn it.

What is the best way to remove and reinstall the Allen bolts on the 787 exhaust pipe without wedging the Allen wrench against the pipe?
Buy a good craftsman set of loose Allen keys and its a 8mm and cut the short end of Allen wrench in half so it's a stubby and it won't scrub the pipe!
