I love the fact that there is a helicopter in the garage, yet the skis aren't those new mini-yachts. You sir clearly know your skis :)

Working away on mine. I'm hoping to have it up to my spec by the end of the month. All 3 of my rec boats need some love, hopefully they'll make it down to Lake Powell in running order for labor day!

Hang on. Wait just one minute... Is that also a helicopter in your garage?

That really is putting my toys to shame.

Thanks Matt, my bulk roll of groove-cut HT black mat came in today. I wish I had more time to tinker with this thing as I intend to turf both sides of the footwell to keep my ankles happy!

the white checkers are vinyl, I just need to peel them off! Also you can see the ghostly outline of the Solas sticker's goop, which is proving to be nearly impossible to remove

Yet you have the UMI sticker on there, LOL. You guys kill me with the aftermarket stickers. Why let the guy on the water know what you got, once he catches up you can let him know, LOL. Nice looking ski though.Yellow rub rail insert would set it off.

ha, that's next too, I have the whole starboard side to desticker as well, just haven't had sufficient time or patience yet. I'm looking for some yellow insert, let me know if you stumble upon someone selling a few lengths. I also have a new jettrim splashguard to install.

Yeah I think Matt bought that cf hood from wanna 69 Donna on eBay. I wanted it but knew once I peeled that God awful enormous 242 (or what ever number) off it would be minty underneath and shatty where it wasn't. I just wouldn't be happy I don't think.

I'm hoping a light cut/polish will restore the carbon. If not, I have a guy that does amazing work restoring airplane carbon that is hazy or sun damaged. Luckily this hood isn't cracked at all, which is very rare.

Any experience with clear gel? Does it work like clear coat? I've been thinking of using auto paint then finishing it with clear gel coat for strength
