I hear you but I was there. We set off across a lake that was absolutely pounding us to pieces. He and I were in front and eventually stopped to look at each other and ask "hey what the hell are we doing here?" We were early into the ride and crossing the lake was in our ride plan but I think everyone agreed that there was just too many river miles the other way to put up with it. We had a terrible angle at the incoming waves and my ski was making some disturbing noises at times coming down on them. I still have not found all the pieces I had holding my fire extinguisher down in the carbon X4, probably trapped under the tank.

I'm not sure how the domes of my miller head survived. But they did. I'll begin re-assembly as soon as my 1211 arrives

Is that a sacrificial anode on the Miller head?

Also you might want to look into one of the pulse air separators from Group K. I know in their testing of really high performance skis like yours in hard turns and rough water they found detonation from air bubbles in the fuel. The separator removes it saving the engine. Might be money well spent on a ski like yours.

So, would these be a good substitute in any carbed 951? I guess it might lower compression a little?

Interesting. Just read Bill's take on them. They sound a lot better but too bad they only offer the first oversize and they are quite a bit more money. I have also heard of using the DI rods to because they are supposedly stronger too.

You and your fancy spigot carbs. Can't wait to see this thing back together.

LOL, that is why I keep a tube of 1211 and 1194 in stock. You also never know when some idiot gets side tracked and leaves the cap off ruining a good tube.

Thats what happened to the tube i have cap was loose its dried out

1184 not 1194 right?

Yeah 1211 is awesome. My cheap azz was sealing cases with some at the cottage cheese stage forever, pressure tested fine. I've got fresh tubes of both now and it's great. Heck I could have fixed your spigot.... just kidding haha.
