I have a Skat Trak 6 vein small hub 140mm pump and it is going on my Kawi Doo X4 1200 conversion. I am going to be running an R&D 85/88 nozzle. I want to get the most topspeed out of it as I can. I am thinking I am going to need the steepest prop that Solas makes. Would that be the 16/24 and/or X2?

Well I'm sure they pitch them higher then 16/24 because have some. You just buy a beat up one and send it to Impros or Skat Trak repair and tell them your setup. They will pitch it pretty close and once you see where you rpm and GPS #'s are you can always send it back for a little tweaking. Better yet send them another beat up one and have it pitched in the direction you want to go while you ride.

I have a Skat 17/22 that I am going to try on my first run, and then I am going to go from there. I might be getting a little ahead of myself b/c it is just a shot in the dark at this point anyways. I have a few stock props that I can tweak. I am going to try an Inventioneering grate on my first run. That is a good middle grate. I also have a Worx if I want a less aggressive one, and a JD #6 if I want a more aggressive one. I just have to get it in on the water at this point to see how it rides. I have a old school Westcoast grate on my '94 XP that I need to get off to try, but I can't get the top two phillip head bolts off.

I wouldnt even try it. Thats made for a 787 not a 1200.

Ship your prop to skat trak, then call Glenn and tell him what your running and your goal of a speed demon. He will custom pitch it. The guy knows his stuff.

I should have listened to Minne to start off with! I found out that this small hub Skat pump is not going to be as efficient as I was hoping. I also have a plastic big hub rfi 140 mm pump, but I have decided to go with a 155 mm pump. I need to figure out how to modify it to fit. I figured it would be best to start off with a good pump instead of spending $300-400 chasing my tail on propellers for a 140 mm pump. I wasn't going to be happy in the long run, and I know I am going to wind up with a 155 mm pump anyways.
