Hi All,

I removed both my reverse gates on my Speedster to replace the pumps. On re-assembly, I noticed on one side of each gate bucket is a stainless steel block plate that is bolted in place to block water from being redirected forward. Since I do not recall the location of each gate I now have two possible installation configurations.
1. Both gates redirecting reverse water between the two pumps.
2. Both gates redirecting reverse water on the outside of the two pumps.

Does anyone know which it is? I'm guessing it's outside.

Thanks.

just out of curiosity what actuates the left hand reverse gate on a speedster? on my challenger it is a metal tube linking the RH and LH gates.(therefore impossible to mix up)
I believe the speedster is different. and yes the metal is on inside. im an currently looking to replace my LH gate . its MIA. 1 too many sub moves

Thanks to you both for the verification.
Danosll, My Speedster has a separate cable for each gate. The 97 service manual I have also shows this tube you speak of. But I do not have this.
Thanks Again.
