Should I loctite the head bolt's, cylinder bolts and exhaust bolts?

Hey everyone. I am in the process of rebuilding my 657. The manual say to use blue loctite on all cylinder, head and exhaust bolts. Does anybody think this is a good idea or is it just going to make them brake from all the corrosion and loctite next time you go to take them out?

yes, i would use a medium threadlocker, but, also a synthetic grease under each bolt "head" to ensure u get proper torque --

Take a look at the manual..... some bolts get grease on the heads and thread lock on the threads while others get the opposite. Sounded strange to me too, grease on the threads and loctite on the heads. Does SeaDoo knwo something we dont?

Well, those bolts on the head that say to put loctite on the head, I neglected to do that. I hooked the engine up to the hose and got some water leaking from under those bolts! So, I suppose that'd be the reason.

I never thought of that but now that you mention it not sure how the bolts are sealed from water. The loctite they call for is a thread lock not a sealant so I am not sure how effective it would be.
