Sea Doo cut out - fuel cap loose?

Hi,

New to this - boutght a 95sp - did the typical fuel lines, filters, oil, spark etc. Took it out for the first time and it ran like a top for a couple hours. It died a couple times while my friend was out. It did start back up after some turning over. When he got back I noticed the fuel cap was loose - would this cause air to draw into the fuel lines? I noticed the return line had an air bubble. My question is - due to the fuel cap being loose and letting air in - would this cause the fuel line to potentially suck in air due to the lack of positive pressue and that may be my issue?

No, the cap being loose shouldn't cause an issue. I'm not 100% familiar with your model but a lot of seadoos have a check valve or two connected to the tank to let air in so a vacuum isn't created when fuel leaves the tank.

No the fuel cap being loose will not affect how good its running but since it was loose water most likely got into the gas.
