Well, Good detective work! So now what? are you going to try and fix it or maybe find one from someone here to replace it with ?

Isn't WD40 Hydroscopic ? Wouldn't that attract and mix with water? Its great for cleaning but in a closed compartment it will find water and turn to a sort of light sludge.

Id say keep it as dry as possible.

The stator looks brand new now and the cleaned the cover with a wire brush. I just thought a little spray or film would help protect the inside

i have a doubt on sealing the water jacket. it only had silicone (i know i should not have) but since it is chipped, should i got ahead and get the o ring, or should i put some silicone and if so, which one?

put it in and finished just now. it sealed the bottom and blew compressed air and it did not leak so i guess so far so good. last time i checked, it was charging around 12.5 or so and today it was at 12.8. also the battery was really low since i bled the oil injection lines by turning the engine over with the starter. put the tender on and tomorrow i will check again.

Yeah, I hope you can get that bottom cover sealed, I think it needs that extra cooling since the fuel doesn't go through the crankcase. They even specify gear lube for the 951DI counterbalance, instead of 30wt, because of the extra heat.

richard has a 800 rfi, not a 951 di

Oh look, the POST POLICE have arrived! :) No need to play dumb griz, I was simply driving home the importance of the water cooling and pointing out an example of differences. Of course I know richard's motor isn't an 951DI, I'm not totally dense and my reading comprehension is pretty good.

I work on a lot of boats too, so some of the words and explanations may sound foreign to a guy who has only read one or two seadoo manuals. For that I apologize in advance, perhaps this is why there are so few with high levels of experience here trying to help.

i aint goin there with you, you aint worth it, your a legend in your own mind i guess , i wonder really if you can fix a bologna sandwich

What numbers?

The new voltage reading with it running on a good charge in that battery.

I'm wondering if it would jump up to 13.5v and stay there.
You said the battery was pretty low after cranking for the oil injection purging and since it only jumped up from 12.5v to 12.8v I'm wondering if it was just the battery or if we are still looking at a charging problem.

But getting 13.5 while its running would be nice to see.

So doesn't explain why you insist on on looking for ways to be critical? You must be experiencing a rough day, that's not my fault.

no, i think what you find here at seadooforums, is we only post on stuff that we know what we are actually talking about, as of late, so many different people here always find bullshit in what you are posting up, maybe you should do like some of us and shut up when we dont really know what we are talking about, but, in your case, your a know it all, just like other mechanics i work with, and there work always shows up on the service drive with an irate customer screaming about the money they just spent on an guesstamate instead of an estimate ....

yup. revved it a bit and went to 13.2 and would probably rise higher but not everyone here appreciates the smell of a 2 stroke
