Pulling Tube Not working....

Well, as a suggestion, measure your impeller and then measure inside of wear ring, check your book and see if it meet those tolerances, if so you got a deal.....if not, then you got to figure out which is wrong.

Westside Powersports Sea Doo has refurbished OEM props.
I send all my OEM props to Impros for refurbishment. They check them for exact pitch and diameter and correct them to like new.

Diameter!! Thats the word i was looking for lol.

Give Impros a call, they have all the specs and have been really helpful. They will also let you know if the Solas is the issue.

Well progress... Just got back in from a ride. Finally got an oem wear ring and tolerance was tighter than the WSM one it replaced. Also, a local guy had a nujet impeller off a 96 XP that has the right pitch. Put both in and pretty sure all fixed. Need to pull a tube to be sure which will happen soon.
Now was it the wear ring or impeller lol. I think i need to put old impeller in to satisfy my curiosity.

@mikidymac Just talked to Impros for fun..... He thought original solas prop should be fine so ill put back in and try. Maybe the oem wear ring fixed it, but he thought WSM wear rings are usually pretty good. Also he suggested switching to carrier bearing on driveline to eliminate any issues with carbon seal. So next step i will try solas prop again and see.

Pulled a tube yesterday. Definitely works now. Still going to put the old impeller back in just to make sure it was the wear ring not the impeller to satisfy my curiosity.

How can you tell if an impeller is an okay shape I found this OEM one on eBay.... Guy said it needs a little sanding on the edges but is straight. $80 bucks.

That impeller is bent on the trailing edges.
As far as telling if the pitch is bent or diameter is worn you really can't. You need to send it to professionals like Impros.

Well lets conclude this because nothing is worse than a thread with no conclusion. Just put back in my original prop and she pulls like new again. Also the OEM wear ring had a tighter tolerance than the WSM wear ring. Weird because WSM seems to be a decent aftermarket company but I guess in this case the wear ring could be hit and miss with them.

So all this big fuss was because the aftermarket wear ring wasn't tight enough 🤦. The new OEM wearing is specking at about 0.35 mm at its widest spot in case anyone needs that info. I think the WSM one was 0.70 mm at widest.

Also some of these aftermarket wear rings measure at 140 mm, but it looks like Sea-Doo and SBT might measure at 139.5 mm. Every little bit seems to help. Thanks boys have a good one
