Sorry I didnt get back to everyone on the lodge.
Will post info shortly, also will give some nice hotels in the area that are not high priced.
Whiskey D, I am in the same boat, have a few new things need to try out before spring gets here. If you get time to go out let me know and I will join. I am at the end of Brawley School for reference.

you guys in Mooresville, nc must know my friends tim holder, john macalpine and brian baldwin. they are prob still on the lake - always up for a ride.

I checked it out last weekend, go back a couple pages and you'll see the pics of the place. It looks like it will be a fun place to stay but its kinda small

I have not heard anything negative about the weekend before, right? I think we might have the date right but we just need an overflow location.

One thing to consider for those bringing kids there is a bar on the premises. Just saying you never know what kind of atmosphere you are walking into.

How about 12-15 of us rent this and the hotel is the overflow? $2500 for the long weekend if we do weekend b4 memorial.

Just not sure how excited they would be with 15 skis in the island, lol.

That seems like it'd be a sweet freakin base camp and the other place an overflow. And with 12 people it'd be $210 for the weekend per person. That's damn good.

How far of a ride is it from that motel by water?

Yah it's over 4k square feet though. I have no problem sleeping on a couch or air mattress. You are correct, it would be more for single guys or couples. Another option would be camping at the state park.

That's kinda what I was thinking. I have an air mattress. Hell I'd sleep in that office they had. Ha

Wasnt that house the one that was forclosed and mold was found? The island house...

If not...Theres soooo much space there we could get 20 people in that place. too bad its all fenced and rocky! Parking might be an issue there? How far is it from the resort?

Give families bedrooms, stick airmattresses everywhere... Hell In Havasu last year we rented a house 1/4 that size and got 14 in it. I got no problems sleeping on a poofy couch!! LOL I slept on Tims couch in Georgia the first night and it was 2' too short!! LOL

The mold house was different:

Hey Guys and gals, I live on Norman and can offer a few things.

Any vrbo homes i can check out.
http://www.vrbo.com/709009 I can tell you now you dont want to stay at this one. A year or so ago the entire bottom level of this house was full of black mold. It was a forclosure and had extensive damage. My wife is a real estate agent on the lake, I have actually been in that house and saw it first hand.

Approx distance to the lake norman motel:

Im thinking we do the 20th- 22nd, use the landing as the starting point, im sure they would let us keep all the skis there seeing that we are going to take all of the rooms, If we need more rooms than what they have im sure the rest of us can find a place close by to stay and just spend the day at the landing. I do think it would be hard to get a big place with people bring family not saying that some of the single guys or some couples cant get together get a big place.

If we do those dates, i will more than likely leave wednesday night and stay thursday-sunday and drive home monday am.

We could do the camping thing like you guys said at the state park, it did look nice with the beach and all, only bad thing is that you need to pack more stuff when camping. I still would be game for this.

Looks like we have the dates down. It's almost time for the Matt Braley Members Unite thread

Keep the 2 strokes alive!

Im down for staying in a big house but I dont want to put a house that expensive in my name. By water that house looks to be a decent ways from the Landing. As far as families go, The landing will likely be a huge party all day and night. Probably not family friendly
