95 GTX with no spark, after checking other electrical components, I pulled the mag cover and found 4 to 5 oz of oil. Will the case have to be split to replace seals? Compression is at 128 and 135, is it time for a rebuild?
I think I'd go for the complete rebuild. If the crank seals are that badly worn, it's time to freshen up the whole engine. You won't know how much the pistons are worn until you take them out and measure the clearance.
Unfortunately I think you're right, I pulled the engine out and the main bearings have a lot of play in them. I guess I'll open it up and see how bad it is.
