Did you load test the battery?...did you go through EVERY connection?,,maybe hidden corrosion lurking?,,,is the stator charging???,

The battery is new, I had the same problem with the old battery.....I thought my old battery was dead/faulty but, it wasn't. The old battery was a walmart battery so, I was happy to change it to a marine deep cycle battery. I went through every connector, took ski to a jet ski repair, a older guy that knows his stuff and he checked the DESS, MPEM Battery & Regulator and all is good. He also checked the stator and said that was good so, yea, we went through everything. He was stumped? He's back logged until August so, I couldn't leave it with him but, I was happy enough that he did what he did during his after hours. A real gentleman. I'm honestly stumped right now? The short summer is passing by here in Connecticut.....

thFollowing this thread, interested to see what you figure out. Similarly we're having issues to and have replaced most of what you have. Don't give up.

Thanks; this is a tough one! played around with new carb yesterday and still backfiring. I ordered another coil yesterday and paid just as mush for rush 2 day delivery! The only thing remaining to do is change the new coil that I installed a couple weeks ago. Seadoo dealer doesn't have the coil, it's been discontinued. I removed the stator cover and it's nice and clean and appears as though the motor is new like the previous stated so, I'll change the coil and that's it? I'm on a waiting list at a jet ski repair shop....could be a few weeks.

alrighty....I have some good news to report. after changing/going through every system on the SeaDoo because it originally wouldn't start so, I first changed the solenoid and coil that I bought from Amazon and guess what? It was the *)&**% COIL. It was no good out of the box!! So, I installed another new coil and she fired right up and ran perfect! I've been riding since Thursday and all is well; the new carb, fuel lines and wear ring made her much more crisper and maybe a little faster so, no loss there and I now have spare parts! This coil cost me close to $600 bucks & 3 weeks in trouble shooting. That's my fault and a expensive education! My original gut feeling was the new coil but, I dismissed that so, on me. Same thing happened recently with my buddy's 65 Mustang, he bought a new Edlrbrock AV2 carb, we spent a couple weeks trying to get it dialed and it was also NO GOOD. Installed a new Holley carb and it ran perfect with very minor adjustments. So, moral of the story is don't buy *#@*(^&^ cheap communist chinese parts! When possible. LOL

I'm going to attach the crappy chinese garbage coil first:

Here's a vid of it in the water from yesterday.....

Awesome thread and thanks for following up! Glad you figured it out... We're... at least myself are guilty of buying the "deal" on parts, which causes more issues. Defiantly going to help a lot of people out with this thread.

Yea, hope it helps people....plus, I copied the wrong part, I posted the boat coil as to the jet ski coil that I bought and was no good. Hope it doesn't confuse anyone?

Thats great that you solved your frustrating issue,,,and thats why I load test customers "new" batteries,,,,they can fail out of the box.
