Then would start hard but then would run fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Are you turning the hose off when the motor is not running? You will seriously damage the engine if you run the hose with the engine off or stalling

So I went out tried it again would not start did a compression test 140 psi in both piston on that engine put a little gas down each piston she fired right up and ran smooth. I’m thinking fuel pump ?

I would rebuild your carbs with genuine mikuni kits being sure to check popoff, there is a great stickie that shows you step by step what to do. Also replace any grey fuel lines, they gum up the carbs.

You should be good to go on your fuel lines, they should all be black already. There are small gray lines for the accelerator pump circuits, do not replace those unless you need to. Be careful, one has a recharge jet inline with it. Just spray carb cleaner thru it, make sure the brass nipples inside the carbs flow as well so the accelerator pump circuits actually work correctly.

You can also buy fuel pumps, there are no rebuild kits for those. They're 21 years old after all.

Thanks everybody appreciate the help I’ll tinker with it and see what I can do and repost let ya know how I made out
