Just wondering, when I took my exhaust off, I removed the motor mount bolts on that side to lift the motor up a bit to remove the exhaust pipe, it has( whats left of it) a shim on the front mount. On the parts diagram it shows this to be the only shim used, and it 1.3 mm thick, what is this for and what does it do? Could this shim being bad be causing my problem of the bolts breaking in my exhaust?

The shims are used to align the engine, you should use the same ones when you re-assemble. And yes if the motor is not aligned properly it can cause vibration and break the exhaust bolts. Are you noticing excessive vibration? I doubt that the shim is bad but the motor mount might be, they can separate.

If the mount is separated you can sometimes repair them by re gluing using epoxy.

no i havent noticed any vibration, I mean other than how a 2 stroke does normally anyway, I can take the seat off while riding and give it gas and I dont see the engine tilt or move, but if I lay my hand on the tuned pipe I can feel vibration/movement on it, Im guessing just the nature of a 2 stroke motor.
