You have two Spec 2 exhaust manifolds? They are not the same as a stock one.

The Magnum pumps do perform well when set up right. most people don't spend the money though unless they are racing. I have some I don't use because if you run a stick or rock through it and bend a vane or impeller then your sending it back to them in Cali with an open wallet.

Here are some pics IMG_6303.JPGIMG_6302.JPGIMG_6304.JPG

The last one is stock off of a 98 spx

1/8-27 NPT. National pipe thread. It's tapered, if you look at your fitting you'll see its tapered as well. In a tapered connection, 2 or three threads will interfere to create a seal. But you need Teflon tape or pipe dope to finish the seal.

Oh, do not bury the tap all the way down. If you do the fitting will bottom out before it actually tightens.

Im down, thats a good question though cause that incoming cooling water is COLD. But hell yeah I'll come freeze [emoji106]

Getting ready to start putting this on together. Both of my pump gas domes are dinged up not sure if I should clean them up or buy new ones. IMG_6424.jpgIMG_6425.JPGIMG_6426.JPGIMG_6428.JPG

The last pic is of the jet that is on my factory spec two pipe I can't even come close to seeing what size it is. I'm looking at it because this ski would not rev above 6800 rpm's no matter what adjustments where made to carb settings and Matt said I should look to see the size of the jet. Good size to start with here?

Lightly tap any sharp edges down on those domes and then spin a wire wheel into them for a second and they should be runable. I've got some used ones I've had professionally cleaned up I can sell you reasonably if you'd rather go that way.

Cleaned up the domes and put the gas tank and motor in today. I had never tapped a new set of threads before and was surprised at how easy it was to do. Engine is all lined up and pipe is connected. IMG_6434.JPGIMG_6433.JPG

I decided to go with the buckshot billet 45's. I cleaned them up and adjusted pop off. Installed the carbs fuel pump and rv oil resivor.IMG_6439.JPGIMG_6440.JPG

I pulled a Jet Dynamics #6 and put on a Inventioneering(Hot Products) grate which is also said to be the fastest just for a test once. The ski was the exact same 61mph. I put the JD back on because I like the way it keeps the pump loaded in choppy water.
