Look up navy seal water/diving boots. I have yet to see a jetski specific boot last more than a year or two.

I'll piggy back on this not from experience, but rather from casual reading on PWCT,GH where some hardcore guys seemed to have the same opinion of pwc specific boots falling well short of expectations. Far too many comments have boiled down to "lasted one season then they were toast"
I kept those opinions in mind when I ordered my boots but in my defense, i'm far from hardcore these days, my ride style was a bit nuts back 6-7 years ago and now i'm much more of a touring/recreational rider than ever before, although I still see my share of 4' seas so its not all sitting down on the couch sipping a mug of coffee with a lid on it while cruising at 45mph. (although I will admit I did just exactly that 3 weeks ago)
I was personally looking for something that will provide some cold weather protection, and a sole just thick enough that a small rock/sharp stick won't jab me unexpectedly. A good tacky bottom that will help grip the turf was a factor as well, my hydroturf diamond plate seems to get more slick when wet, reminds me of the old X4 stock mat's, I never had much of an issue with cut groove style or the thin stuff on my honda, both were excellent for grip on my bare feet.
From what i've read at least as far as overall durability, the Asic's wrestling shoes seem to have received consistently strong reviews from riders that have put their hours in, but I don't believe they offer a shred of warmth, it was more about support and good grip.
