I'm all ears on the date and the location. You 'all please look for a cool place with cabins or at least a boat ramp. I'm looking over the Apalachicola area now. I still like the place Spim posted up if we could get in.

I like that area. There are several directions to head up rivers. I've been to that lake though and there and it is mostly flooded timber. You have to stay in the channel or you run up on logs hiding just under the surface. There is a dam you get around by being lowered, I've never done that.

The nava beach and GA atate park both look cool and cheap, but the nava beach looks like it might cater to a wild pack of jetski guys better than the state park with park rangers and such

The navarre beach restort is where the 2009 jetski freeride was hosted, so they are used to this kind of thing lol. It is a cool place , the cost is very reasonable and the staff is friendly.

A regular tent site at navarre is $49 and allows up to 6 people. So if camping is what we want that is less than $10 per night per person. I have most of whats needed to cook and what not if that is the path we go. I wouldnt mind some cold beer and I cant seem to find the rules at the state park but I bet its not on the list of

How about lake Okeechobee I know it's been done before but it's far enough south we don't have to worry about cold much

Okechobee sux, I'd like to say its opinion, but I think its fact.

No matter what y'all decide, I'm planning on doing a scouting run at the end of the month to River Ranch (80% certainty we will stay there, 20% we'll just drive up for the day) maybe a group of 6 or 8, and see how it goes.

Perhaps if it turns out to be really great, we could pencil it in for the 2017 Fall ride and book early before they get all sold out for Mid October to Mid November. I'm guessing that even if we decide in the next few days to book there for a large group it might be too late, the group sales lady stressed to me that the longer it took to make a decision, the more likely she'd be sold out.

logs, gators, complete lack of scenery (levy), grass everywhere to choke up your intake, shorelines all muddy, quite possibly the ugliest lake i've ever had the displeasure of visiting. Might feel different if I fished, but I don't fish, I brap.

The rivers and lakes around the area are just fine, some excellent freshwater rivers to ride that are better choices.

Kissimmee River/Lake, Orlando, St John's, Sebring, Lake Placid/Grassy/June are all better choices for central Florida IMO. Actually I might consider lake O one of the worst choices for an event.
