Actually you want Monel staples. If you look at the package of stainless ones it actually says not for marine use.

For you fresh water riders:

The stainless staples from home depot are just fine to use. I ride in salt water and have yet to see rust. The funny thing is, on my 98spx seat the monel staples are rusting. Just wash your ski off.

I'd love to, but not sure. Currently my back is beginning to feel just like it did when the nc ride took place. If it spasms like it did then I'm screwed. Popping meds already to be preventative. If there is another Norman ride next year I'm going to make it.

+1 on SML It is a really nice lake. Great riding especially north of Bridgewater.

this location looks good! but don't count mine as a vote, i don't have a ski yet, haha, but i'm def keeping my eye on the date, and hopefully ill either have one or there will be one available

re: silver glenn/Georgetown, I reached out to my soflarider group and got a quick response from the ride coordinator to call him after he gets off work late this evening.

the quick comment he made was that November would be too cold to get in the water, (I guess this location can be quite popular for people that enjoy snorkeling)

my first thought was that this isn't a real factor for the group, but if we have a couple of full days there it might be of interest to some peeps. The positive part might be that it might not be so crowded. I'll have a 5 min conversation with him either way for enlightenment.

I don't care about temperature,, I own all I need to ride in any weather. All the way up to a 7mm Farmer John that gives me 14mm in the center core area. I'll scuba for that matter,,, I just want to ride, LOL
