now thats a team player and one heck of a guy!

Thanks man. LIke I earlier it would be more fun on a ski but its still gonna be a blast. I love zipping around in my boat with 2 787s hummin back there. It will be good that the wife wont be with me because she likes a more relaxed driving style....not this weekend :willy_nilly:

Just went and loaded up on xps
20161101_143052.jpg
About 7 gal of oil there plus one more at the house should be good for about 320 gallons. the wife is going to kill me when I get home

I just went and bought 6.75 gal of xps and the honda steelership just called and said there ready. Hmmmmmmm..... test ride will tell the truth

Fortunately the steelership bill goes to mom and stepdad, I brought the hondas back to life after sombody else made them "salty and corroded" test ride dependent I might have xps for $40 a gal

Ok... so I need some input.
Red still runs like garbage, black runs good but i only have 10 min of seat time. All the steelership did was new plugs to the tune of like $400 bucks, thats about 50 bucks a cylinder:facepalm: but whatever no time for that now.

So boat or 1 running ski?

Boat pros:
It runs good
It is like 2 '97 GTXs strapped to each other with some extra bow
It would be nice to have some more experienced carb tuners get their fingers on my carbs and give me the
Haul fuel
Haul a cooler for the group
It has lights
It has a stereo

Cons:
Lot-o-fuel with 2 787s slurping it up
P.O. removed oil injection and i believe its 35 gal of premix, probably a day.... so lot-o-xps
Its wider than a ski but still has shallow draft(some of the stuff on youtube looks narrow
Trailer needs re wired and some new lights

Salty honda pros
Moar fun
Faster
Less fuel
Turns harder
Its got a turbo that reduses the 4 strokeish lameness and kinda mimics a 2 stroke powerband
Already fixed all the lights on the trailer

Cons:
Only 10 min of seat time and the red one is still down
It might break
Its a 4 stroke
It is a fat pig weighing in at almost 1000lbs

What to do.....
Bring both if the black one will fit in the bed of the truck (long bed)

Think on this while i drive home and break out the tape measure

Bring the boat and haul fuel we can all swap in and out and you can ride some of our modded skis. I watch the fuel hand go down on the rxx pretty fast my 95 sips compared to it.

I just measured the the honda and its 10ft 2" the tounge is pretty short on the boat trailer so the bow is pretty close to the truck and i dont want to let the fat pig ride like the spx on that trucks tailgate cause its twice as heavy. Im too far behind at work to go beat the honda to death for an hour or so tomoro to feel good to drag a broke ski and a questionable one all the way to flordia

Count the fuel boat in. The savings in fuel of the ski would not be worth trying to fix it when I could be whipping the boat around jammin with power every time those pistons go down
Seadoo reliability

Haha I was gonna say the ski. I guess you have truck enough that the weight difference doesn't matter. I like to tow as little weight as needed.

I put a motor, pipe and carbs in Jason's 98 SPX this afternoon/evening. It's aligned, pump is sealed and it sounds good.

well its check in time. both of my skis are up and running...for now lol.... just need to clean them up tonight and change one trailer light and pack the truck up. ill be leaving tomorrow sometime from 4 to 6 and i will be to the lake no later than 2 but hoping to get there by noon. how is every one else coming along?

Trying to get done at work so I can finish packing. My battery charger took a shit. Guess it's not water proof I left it in the footwell and it got wet a while back.

SPX is ready and in the back of the truck. I spent last night fixing a few things on the XPL and buffing it a little since it looked terrible next to the spx. No time for the seat cover and new mats but looks decent at least and will be for longer cruises.

Now just to pack everything and head out early tomorrow.

Fabing roof mounts for cams as fast as i can so the crew can stay busy while im not. Then rewire trailer, fix lights, and new bearing buddys. Roll out as soon as i open my eyes tomoro

Just left nice ville Florida headed to the meet. Thanks to Matt for helping me put the 98 spx together with all those go fast parts. Decided to jump some waves in the gulf before we left today. It was awesome until I landed on my knee after a huge wave, walking slow now.

I have some SDF shirts that I will hand out to those that come to the ride (first come first serve as I'm not sure how many I have left).
