nice, i'm off exit 217 which is north of where you're going, what day are you coming through

oh i see.... i'll likely be at work, but hopefully i'll see you at the ride, assuming I can get someone to babysit my son on that day, let me know if I can help you out, unless you really want to see this guy, it'll save you hours worth of driving, I'm likely going to make the trip with my double trailer (unless i find a nice single for cheap) and I don't mind picking up this ski, it's only about 45 min from me

Thank you very much but I do want to go. This guy is the true Seadoo guru. I love to ask him questions and it's been a few years so I'm ready to soak some more in. I also want to show up with cash and buy some parts and such. Seadoo gave him lots of things that were never for sale and he is gonna have tons of pistons, cylinders, raves, etc.

Matt Braley At lake norman your wife said "This is just what he does." and she kinda gave gave it alittle  I said "hey, it could be worse right?" Now i know why she said "probably not"

I must say Matt is probably the most passionate man I've met about 90's seadoos and racing..he spends a lot of time and knowledge collecting the gems we all wish we could own..I hope he never stop what he does

is this guru actively working on ski's? my buddy with the rossier pipe is still having running issues with it and the two local guys that I know are very reluctant to get involved further with dialing it in. Granted my buddy has been very lax about it as well since he bought a superjet recently and has been riding that every weekend along with his yamaha 1200 which blew up recently so now he's back to 1 working ski and really wants to get the xp running correctly.

I had lunch with him yesterday and to be honest I had forgotten all about it. We actually were brainstorming over chips and salsa on how it might be possible to get it up to the panhandle for you to mess with it but niceville is a long long way from home.

Englewood is close enough (only an hour away) I really need to find him a qualified AND motivated tuner within a reasonable driving distance so we can put this behind him, its been 2 months now with the xp just sitting on a stand in his garage.

He was working for Farthing and had a hand in the building of this year's carbon fiber 600HP version of the new Seadoo 300. I think he might be in between gigs at the moment. I'd hit him up and see what he says. You do the FB thing and he just posted on the seadoo race parts page.

Someday I might hire him for a week and put him up in a local hotel. I'd show him all my keepers and let him show me where the missed couple of mph on each are. I have no idea what he would charge.

Looks good. It looks pretty close to Spim's operation. I'm gonna have to take off more work then I figured to get this all done.

ya, looks like you are almost walking distance, perfect !

I'm booked thurs/fri/sat,
my plans at this point are to head out Thursday about noon and get there by 6pm.
I'll be leaving sunday mid day.

Looks like no one is staying at the marina, ill be in friday by 1. I have about a 14 hr drive and leaving thursday around 5.

looks like the best boat ramp for those that are staying north of the marina a few miles is about 1 mile from sportsman harbor. trying to confirm address, google gave me which was

9199 Elm St Welaka, FL 32193

When i pull that up on google earth it doesn't' look right because tree's are blocking it but I think its correct accoring to FWC.

If we are doing a morning run north then I think another choice is
162 Old Shell Harbor Road, Satsuma, FL 32189,
This would cut 4 miles off each way for those that have smaller tanks and in 2 stroke world 8 miles is a lot. :)

Owner said less than a mile. I have to pull the rxx out at night it takes on water slowly not sure where it's coming from.

I edited my post to show a 2nd choice thats a couple miles north for the river runs.

162 Old Shell Harbor Road, Satsuma, FL 32189

my superjet buddy told me a funny story about his saturday ride, he rode all day on a single tank and got to the ramp fine, pulled it out of the water and it wouldn't start to brap out the waterbox, he pops the lid and there is ZERO fuel sloshing around in the tank, he literally pulled up to the ramp on fumes, so I got to thinking that some of you with small tanks might be more concerned about fuel than I am.
