How to get to fuel filter by baffle to clean

So I've decided to replace all the gray fuel lines and clean the carb filters since my jet ski isn't getting fuel to start. So I've read that it's a good idea to clean the fuel filter on the fuel tank while I'm doing all this but how do I actually get to the thing. Appreciate y'alls help this forum is great btw

It is a small screen at the bottom of the fuel baffle. What I did was start replacing the fuel lines at the tank/baffle. Label each of the four lines going into the baffle and note the orientation of the fuel baffle. Remove all the lines from the baffle and loosen the bottom clamp on the baffle. The baffle will slide right out of the tank. The filter screen is on the bottom.

The screen on the bottom of mine was clean and did not need any attention. However, my fuel sensor was not working so I had to do the fuse fix. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't have pulled my baffle.

Alright I'll just leave it alone then seeing the problem is most likely the fuel lines the fact that I had a broken fuel selector and the carb filters. Thanks for the reply

I have a new 96 GTS and it has black lines are those supposed to be the gray ones to replace, then there are three gray lines behind the fuel line do those also have to be replaced.

I would at least check it,it's not that hard to do and there is no need to do all that work and not have it right.What model ski is?They are all a little different as far as what you have to do to get it out.

I have a 1997 gsx and i've actually heard the baffle is pretty tough to get out.

Yeah,but it would be bad to do all this work and it get messed right back up because of a problem with that little screen.Might as well go ahead and do when you ski is down now because it might get you some extra time on the water in the future.
