So far the plan is to drive down with two buddies. I'm going to try to pick up a couple of skis down there and drag them back. If I can find two down there it will save some gas and time on the drive. So that's the plan so far!

So who's all coming for sure. Also if someone needs a ski to ride I will have my xp there and it will most likely just be sitting as I enjoy my hx more

You guys make this sucker happen and get lots of pictures. Lets make this an event that can go on for years. I will try my damnest to make it next year.

And Im so glad I didnt buy tickets cuz now out of nowhere I have issues with my silverado. Im pretty sure its poltergeist related. It would take me two freakin hours to type out all the craziness I experienced today. 1-3-5-7 right bank misfires like crazy. No coolant leak at 15PSI despite it loosing coolant a pint a week.

Moral to the story is as tough as you think your truck is, putting old (and in my case some REALLLLLY old) gas into it is not a good idea. Neither is letting the coolant go super low b/c you cant get the hood to unfreeze.

If I may I would like to second Minne's encouragement!
I had really hoped to attend the ride this year to personally thank the forum supporters for all the information etc that has allowed me to learn so much about Seadoos. I have 40+ years of experience with two stroke engines, boats etc but just within the last years started playing with Seadoos. I have been able to locate the answer to almost all of my questions in past posts... the quantity and quality(!!) of information has been very impressive, thanks to everyone that gives of their time to build this database!

Unfortunately medical problems with one of my children required a trip to Cincinnati to help out with the grandson and now the starter in my F350 has gone belly up. Good news is daughter is recovering from surgery nicely and I can swap out the starter no problem but travel funds have been exhausted for the near future.

To those making the trek, I hope the weather is fair, travel is safe and everyone burns lots of two stroke mix!

the only thing that will stop me is weather below 60 with wind/rain. I'll ride in about any conditions but I draw the line at anything below 59 degrees :)

That temp I need a float coat and im not riding the hx hahaha /QUOTE]

95HX, I have been wondering if the water was that much warmer in central fl, than here in the pan handle...
I put my hx away month ago!
Very fun ride but also very wet...

68 you joking right? That's late June up here!!!!!!!! Look at the top of the map, that's me 41 degrees. That's nut-bag cold right there or Costanza cold for you Seinfeld fans. Our high water temp is around 78-79 degrees in season. 68 degrees, get me some short pants and a wife beater, I'm gonna ride.

Well if it's cold and rainy then you guys can drink beer and laugh at me out there riding. I live on the water and wimp out all the time knowing that better conditions are right around the corner. I have never driven this far for a ride before so I'm bundling up and getting it done. I hope we come out of this with better pics then just my stubborn azz out there in the rain.

I can tell I'll be fiddling with the skis right up until I leave for the ride. I want to hand them over and confidently say "this is the answer". Can you picture Nam's face when he pulls the trigger on that 951 powered 96XP? He thought his 587 powered SPI was fast. And I am desperately wondering if I have neared Spims FPP Spec one water injected performance with my Rossier piped XP800.

But most of all it will be great to put some smiling faces with the screen names. Any of you local cats should just come over for the day for a handshake, cold beer and ride.

i'm sure your past me, all i have is spec1 and ECWI, and swirl on it I forget, its been shuffled around once or thrice. I'm not really dialed in and I don't want to be since i'm terrible about keeping an eye on things.

and I did get a nice new dry top for riding in bad weather :)

nam on the 951 :driving: i'll bring the gopro :)

No offense but even seeing this thread title over and over again is annoying...:banghead::banghead:. I have to wait until late April to go out without freezing my best friends off. I envy you guys being able to ride all year. Of course I'd have to adjust my gas budget. :)

Just fly in and meet up, a little BSing and I'm sure you can find plenty of seat time. These guys have plenty of machines. Also the Daytona Freeride is the same weekend so you can visit that. Its pretty epic.
